Oh man that is not what I was hoping to hear. I'm going to give him a call come monday, (not sure what that will accomplish), but try to inform him of several of us that are in need of this.

Center Lock Wheels on S30
Nelsonian replied to HK240ZT's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I don't think you will find much of an econimical approach to this as most of the manufacturers of these wheels are quality and expensive. Could take it up a notch and convert to 5 lug porsche wheels as I seem to recall center lock options for certain 911's for rediculous dollars. -
Show Off Your Engine Bay! Pics Wanted, L-series
Nelsonian replied to philipl's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
Hey Sly, I believe a member here had a 3.1 stroker for sale as can be seen in the san diego craigslist: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/pts/3179397212.html As for the fire wall, I had two friends do that, but keeping it clean behind all the parts coming out of the firewall was a task. I would get it as clean as possible, then coat it with zoop seal. -

^^^ Brian is a pleasure to make a transaction with, he cares and it shows. -
My offer still stands on the rougher 73 dash that I have, But?????

I love the attention to detail that you have poured into this build. Fantastic results with your car. I am on a similar path with eliminating all possible rust and coating where possible to prevent future rust as much as possible.

Please help me remember this old car show!!!
Nelsonian replied to ORANGEV8Z's topic in Non Tech Board
It sounds alot like the "Victory by Design" series. Fantastically shot, and edited. -

I met with Stuart the body guy yesterday to see what progress had taken place. It was determined that we would need to recut the rear wheel wells to raise and flatten the inner liner to allow a maximum, unimpeded clearance for the wheel to travel. While I was there at Bob Rector's property , he was working on his Bonneville salt flats racer, so I snagged a few pics. All I know about it is, that it has a merlin block, is 2" shy of 600, makes 900 hp on 116 gas, and has so far been 191 mph with Bob piloting it, all at the ripe old age of 79 and still sharp as a tack.

MazerRackham, Where will you place the amp for the sub? Definately looks like a thief would have a challenge with stealing that. Sunny Z, Here is a pic of another members(I believe) 280z with a 12" sub in the drivers side just as you were mentioning. Not trying to jack your thread in any way Mazer.

I have run into that problem on track often. The mushroom vents will melt down eventually, I pull the plastic vent-remains and tap the hole for NPT threads. install a hose nipple and run the hose up to a metal fuel filter with the open end up. It is a catch can that drains back. I just zip tied it to the brake line to keep it up high. Got any pics of this set up?

I have one that I will not be using.

Some more progress this weekend as I met with the bodyman Stuart Rule. We assembled the doors and hatch, then cut and ground the under side of the subtle z fenders to get a starting point before adhering them. We got the rears situated and just have the fronts sitting loosly and not positioned for now. I have even more appreciation for bodymen/painters after getting a chance to get in there and help and more importantly learn as this build progresses. I foolishly wore a t shirt and have paid for it by itching myself for half of the weekend, lesson learned for next week. This project has been and continues to teach me proper orders of doing things and how costly it can become when not done right. We removed the gas filler pocket from it's original place to move it out and bond it to the rear subtlez fender about 1/2" out. This seemed easier than welding in new walls around it to make up the difference. Since the car was involved in a rather hard shunt, and the right rear quarter panel was put on slightly off it's mark, it has made it a challenge to set the proper panel gaps. The drivers side peak where the a-frame meets the roof leaves little room for the corner of the door stainless trim, with very tight spacing. I'm looking forward to next saturdays progress.

Your car looks so nice and clean, especially in that rural setting.

The $1200 Mckinney kit does not come with the weld in camber plates and uses stock top hats. The Arizona z option includes 4 weld in camber plates at $99 a corner, thus making the difference in price.

Met with the body/paint guy to get started on my project. As a result of the car having been in a wreck previous to my ownership, we struggled setting the panel gaps of the subtle z fiberglass kit and the car itself. It will need quite some work to get everything in order. I'm heading to the junkyards tomorrow in search of a few missing bolts, shims etc for fitment purposes. It looks like it will be a long term project.

Hello, In regards to your request for a P90 head, I have a freshly rebuilt NON Hydraulic P90A head with less than 3000k miles on her. I bought a completely reconditioned L28et locally awhile ago, but have recently acquired a completely ported polished P90 that I will now be using. I have the receipt from all the work that was performed on the whole engine from the previous owner. Would let it go for $300. If this is of interest to you, shoot me back a pm. Regards, Chris...

Hey Murph, I'm one who always enjoys seeing what others come up with for parts swapping and sharing, and would not discourage your plans, however. As stated above the difference of weight advantage of the r200 and near bullet proof cv axles are available from the Driveshaft shop. I bought the so far only set of 280zxt dimensions, coppied by the driveshaft shop and according to them 900hp proof. Another member here with a turboed chevy v8 and drag built 240z went through the process of having these made by the Driveshaft shop, (available for others to purchase) and was using Modern motorsports billet stub axles, which I also scooped up from him. I'm not sure how much the route you are planning on going will be or if that is even an issue for you, with just wanting to do something different. Either way if you do proceed, keep us all posted.

Anyone know the specs of these?
Nelsonian replied to pcakes55's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Panasport in 16"x7" the largest and widest in that model. I had a set in mint cond, but not wide enough for my needs. Great wheels. -
I currently have a 73' dash in repairable state, that is stripped down to just the top vinyl and inner frame but am veeeerryy skeptical about this. 1) Due in part to a personal purchase that I made from him way back when he was still a member and only received the part with threats of filing a dispute claim through paypal. 2)There have been soooo many of these threads started with great hopes for fg or cf interior parts with little to no progress or even confirmation from the original instigators. I would love to see someone come through with both carbon fiber and or a fiberglass dash with more gauge provisions and proper mounting brackets to be a true bolt in. Now back to my dash, it's far from great as the top is rather dry in many places and spider cracking with the obvious large cracks that I started to bevel out for a rebuild on my own. I stopped short of digging into this dash as I ended up getting a rather nice a still supple vinyl and stripped 72' dash with only one large crack and two very small superficial spider cracks. I am mostly curious as to the condition the original dash after making a mold. Will it be destroyed, distorted? I would like to rebuild my 72' with all the SEM products that I have acquired and would not be interested in using it if it will incur damage. Is he serious about starting, continuing and most importantly Finishing this project? I live only a little over an hour and quarter south of his town as well. Need some answers first before any commitment on my part. First 5 pics are of my 1972 dash. The other 4 pics are my stock 1973 dash in way rougher cond.

Got a nice rear hatch from a 76' from the local pick your part to replace my messed up stock 240z. Half price holiday weekend made it all the more better. Time to chemical strip and blast parts of it.
