  1. I Love it. Thanks for the pics. Very nice ride.
  2. I've broken a few also. Ended up replaceing the lifters (originals with unknown mileage) and have not broken any since.
  3. Never trust personal advice given on a car forum.
  4. I love that Pug also. That is one bad ride!
  5. How about using these parts instead of the stock shaped parts. http://www.zccjdm.com/catalog.php/azcarbum/dt73726/pd1751866/IMSA__REAR_FENDER_FLARES_
  6. If you are looking for new, try these. http://www.datsunrestore.com/photo3.html
  7. Yes you need a steering wheel puller. Don't beat on it.
  8. Check for intake leaks before you replace the seals. While the car is running, use a propane torch unlit and wave it around the seal. If the idle increases, you have a leak.
  9. When I ran webbers on my daily driver way back when. I modified the stock cable to work with the webbers. Another option is to use a universal choke cable and rig up something like the pull for the fresh air vents that are at the drivers left knee and the passengers rt knee. You may be able to get away with just runing the choke cable to one or two carbs and be OK. Try moving the choke lever on one or two carbs and see how it starts.
  10. That's one of the things I'd like to see. I noticed the side exit exhaust.
  11. That's one hell of a storm!
  12. I would love a peak underneath that car.

    Photo upload

Is the link for photo upload gone or am I having a senior moment?
  17. Bob IS my uncle. Where did the doors come from? How are you going to get the glass to work with out a window track? ( the chrome piece that surrounds the class) Those do look nice.
  18. My track day costs are something like this. I can get 3 or 4 days of a set of kumhos at about 900 a set. Brakes cost about 300-350 for a set of front and rear pads. Rears last a season, fronts may last 2 weekends at CMP. 25 to 30 gallons at 3 buck a gallon let call it 100 Oil and brake fluid 40 bucks Add entry fees and traveling expenses and depending on the place it can be Big money. If the wife goes, cost tripple. It is easily a 600 or 700 dollar weekend If nothing breaks.
  19. Be sure to post up some pics when it all starts going together. I'm curious about the HRB and how it will all go together. Good luck with the surgery.
  20. Hey Mike, Good to hear you are making some progress. Do you have a date in mind? Perhaps the Z car event at VIR in February? I'm not sure I can stand the cold but if you are going to be there I may have to man up and go.
  21. If you are sure the car will never be on the race track, skip the cage or roll bar. You won't miss it on the street and with subfame connectors and strut bars you will be good for an occasional autocross. Flame suit on.
  22. Google avi player. If you used the HD setting this type of player will it. I had a similar problem with my sony HD hard drive camera and this player worked for me. My kid told me this. Us old farts don't know this stuff. Hope it helps. I look forward to checking out your new toys at the track.
