  1. Looking good Mike! Can't wait to see it on the track.
  2. Make it yours. Have fun building it and enjoy it afterwards.
  3. Very cool. If its not rusty I'd be very interested.
  4. Looking great! Are those tires Hoosier R6's? That is alot of meat under that car.
  5. I would like to find out more about your mounts for the LS1, I would like to have power steering if poss. 72 240z LS1

  6. Try swapping your springs front to rear. Stiffer springs up front and softer on rear.
  7. What headers are you using? I'm enjoying your progress.
  8. What advantage do droop limiters have over a larger anti roll bar? In the pics Jon posted, the grey car looks like it needs stiffer springs or bigger bars. Aren't drop limiters acting like a large ARB? I'm only on my first cup of coffey, be kind.
  9. Cool car. I spent 4 years at WCU and many weekends knocking around sylva. I've got a kid at WCU now. I'll look for the car the next time I'm up there.
  10. I had to move the fender well closer to the front tire to make room for the tank to fit in that space. It would have been easier to get one of the race shops around here to make a tank. I think the capicity would be close to the 3 gallon tank I have now. It would have to have been shaped very differently and would have taken someone with skill and imagination to make it but I know it could be done. Just keep in mind you need to have a way to easily drain the tank to change the oil.
  11. Just to follow up. I was at VIR on the north course with the THSSC a couple of weekends ago. I bought a set of victor racers for the rear that were on close out. The production date was 2007. I ran a personal best time on the north course and set FTD on sunday. I'll buy another set if they still have a few left the next time I need tires. They were half the cost of new. Money well spent.
  12. http://forums.hybridz.org/uploads/2/2212.jpg http://forums.hybridz.org/uploads/500/med_DSC00034.JPG I also had to modify the fender well a bit to make it all work. http://forums.hybridz.org/uploads/1301953325/med_gallery_787_298_1275318.jpg At vir

  15. I've got the same set up on my ls1. I mounted my tank where the battery went. Had to cut the firewall and set the tank back a bit. If I had it to do over again I would have had a custom shaped tank made to fit the space.. I'm enjoying watching your progress. I hope o can see it in person one day.
  16. It's the shock load that kills them. Will yours break? Probably one day. Thats alot of torque.
  17. jt is right. I remember the last time we discussed this we both agreed that we end up modifing our line to leave a foot or two on either side of a braking zone because the car is going to move a bit. My last attempt to improve the rear brakeing on my Z car left a nice dent on my right rear quarter pannel from hitting the braking markers in turn one at VIR. They are normally on the left side of the car. However when going backwards.................
