  1. Use lots of soapy water and lots of patience. You can find the tool you need at a glass shop. NAPA may also have one. You need something thin and flexable that won't cut the rubber lip. Good luck.
  2. This will help. http://www.larryselectricsite.com/pinout/ls1pin.html http://600sx.sirwarrior.com/2008/02/gto-pinout.html
  3. Does this harness have an OBD2 plug? If so, buy one of the tuners that will allow you to edit the software in the pcm. I've got ls1 edit and it's pretty easy to do basic stuff like turn off O2 sentsors and disable the VATS. Another option is to send the PCM out and have it done. There are plenty of places here that will do it. I'm sure you guys have similar operations down under. Have you checked out ls1.com?
  4. It sounds like VATS was not disabled. Can you have some one locally verify that? The code from the key is how VATS works. It would take a few minutes with LS 1 edit to turn off VATS. Good luck
  5. I would like to see product on the shelf ready to ship.
  6. Check you local laws. You may not be able the have that much nitrous for obvious reasons. In NC I know you need a permit. I got flack from Air Gas for bringing my tanks in to be filled untill they found out I was a dentist. The guy was acutally going to take my tanks because he said it was illegal for me to have them. Good luck
  7. The only place you'll have to get creative is where the dash meets the windshield. The PDK dash also replaces the trim piece that fits between the stock dash and the windshield. For the trans tunnel mounts, I cut those pieces off the stock dash and used a rivet and epoxy to mount thouse and it worked very well. For the mounts near the fresh air vents, just drill a couple of holes in the dash and use some nuts and bolts. My car has a cage and bars right on the A pillars so I had to cut the ends of the dash off and then reattach them. It turned out OK but I hated cutting up such a nice piece.
  8. No pics. I just made some aluminum tabs that mount to the stock points just under the windshield and the dash rests on them. I used some duez fasteners here. At the console area I cut off the parts on the stock dash that connects to the trans tunnel and resused these on the pdk dash. For the mounting points near the doors and the bottom of the dash I used zip ties.
  9. The fit and finish is excellent. It is not a bolt in piece. You will have to make brackets to mount the dash. This is a top notch piece. a couple of pics in my photos here. http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=1&ppuser=10667
  10. I have searched. Someone posted about using I think j30 CV's to rebuild the 280zx axels. Anyone remember that or have a link to the thread? Thanks

  13. Encourage and support him. Don't push him. I've seen may smart high school kids burn out under of the pressure of AP courses and a heavy load. Congrats on the smart kid!
  14. BJ Congrats on selling the car. Sounds like you got a good price for the car. Now put the funds in the track car and get it out there. Roddy and Tom, I have seen Alan Giles run a 209 or 210 in a time trial a few years ago. I have no idea what his best time is but I'm sure you both are familar with his car and his ability. Those times put you guys in high cotton for sure.
  15. I feel strangely attracted to it. This must be how a fly feels circling a pile of dung.
  16. TOM! Awesome job. I knew it was just a mater of time before it all came together. Roddy, that is an amazing time for a NA L6 powered car. Great job guys.
  17. Excellent products and service. You can't go wrong with John.
  18. Pin 1 and 40 on both the red and blue connectors are grounds. A total of 4 grounds. Pins are numbered on each connector. You need to remove the plastic cover on the connectors to see the numbers on the metal part of the connectors. Hope that helps.
  19. Is the crank angle sensor pluged in? The connection is near the starter. Kind of hard to see. Are you getting any codes?
  20. Congratulations! IT won't be long until he's trying to pry the keys from your hands. Enjoy every minute, it goes by way too fast.
  21. on my LT 1 Z, any ignition problem has been the optispark. Are you sure you have the OBD port wired correctly?
  22. Chitty chitty Bang bang started my obsession with cars and car mods. I blame it all on Dick Van Dyke.
  23. Glad you're OK. I hope the car can be easily fixed.
