  1. Nope, I'm wondering who I have to pay the $45 to, to kick braap in the nuts.
  2. LOL I have the pre-ban AR but It fits me, also the lee-enfield and M1 garand.
  3. Well, picked up the TPI, megasquirt, wiring harness and associated goodies and got to meet bryan aka mobythevan. So that was very cool. He has some nice projects that should be wicked. Checked on the tracking number and the turbo should be here Wednesday. Moved my 40 foot shipping container yesterday so today I'll clean it out and start filling it with the crap in my shop so I can actually work on something. Starting to form my new shop as well.
  4. Well, we didn't know when you'd be there, it was like we were eating and you called. You were like about 30 min out. What did you think of bryans projects? Is that a big friggin turbo or what? As for everyone else, sorry we didn't all meet up, there will be a next time I'm sure, jason bryan and I have plans on projects.
  5. Just when you didn't think you could find a doc, one comes knocking on your door. Moby, slowshortnrusty, jbk240z I'm here in colo springs. Planning to meet at moby's tomorrow am around 8:30 AM or so. Bring beer, it's 5 o'clock somewhere, probably superdans house.
  6. IMO, another 150 bucks gets you a ready to bolt on Stef's pan. My time TIG welding that would be more than 150 bucks and it'd probably not be true after all the heat put in that thin metal.
  7. LOL I built a buddies dsm 4g63 in an awd talon. I Ported the head, cams, pistons, h beam rods, dodge d50 diesel stroker crank, gt42r, intercooled, custom exhaust manifold, AEM. Little motor pushed the lead sled to 11.50 at 126mph with two large guys in it, one driving and one tuning. He probably had 20K+ in the car. Intercooler was too small but it made 600HP anyway. It takes one hell of a dsm to keep up with an ls1 z car IMO, it's all in the weight of the car.
  8. I had a '91 s-10 for stinking 10 years. I bought it used with 98K miles, sold it last year to a buddy of mine for $1000 and he's driving the wheels off of it. 212,000K+ miles on it and still doesn't use oil. The 4.3 is a nice motor. Has the 700r4 trans. I've never had an issue with it, but then again I have 4 grease guns and 4 cases of grease in the shop that get used regularly. I put new A/C, new rad, water pump, battery, hoses, belts, wires, cap, rotor, and changed the oil and filters regularly. Other than those, thats it. IMO the 4wd is higher maintenance, but I don't mind.
  9. hahahahaha, Now that's dayum funny! Somebody at google has a sense of humor. I love the search suggestions!
  10. I've raced in Alb alot and never lost to an import. Oh, but I have a v8.
  11. :lmao: By the time your done that figure will be a drop in the bucket!
  12. Just goes to show you never to go around "Half cocked"
  13. I think you can find information here http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=114798 or you could use the search function.
  14. Blow through isn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination. I'm doing it all over again and going efi. Things I've learned about blow through. 1. Lock out mechanical advance so you can set total timing and then pull timing with your box (msd). Mine is at 40 initial (locked) 2. Buy the best carb you can, I used C&S aerosol billet $1500 3. Fuel system design is very important. 4. Being conservative with tune pays big dividends. 5. Spark plugs are a big deal.
  15. You must be kidding me. You know when you ask for advice on using JB weld on something because it doesn't seem right, it probably isn't right. This isn't right at all, by any stretch of the imagination.
  16. Didn't we discuss that awhile back?
  17. Don't go there, Pinks is history, a horrible trajedy in the hybridz history, hopefully to never be repeated again. Send me a PM if you really have a ? What happens to other members really isn't for the general masses to be in on and I feel that appropriate action was taken IMO. There is alot that you all don't see or hear about that goes on behind the scenes. If person gets banned it can be a day, week, 30 days, whatever length or permanent depending on the situation. That being said, what we do really isn't up for discussion and the bottom line is that we felt it was warranted for whatever reason. Typically a week ban or 30 days is just a slap on the wrist to let you know that it is serious. Consquently things like direct attack, PM or email telling admin staff to shove it and how someone is going to make our life here at hybridz a living hell is a one way ticket out of here permanently. There are other ways of getting voted off the island as well, like starting threads like this. jk Keep in mind that hybridz is a privaledge not a right, kind of like your drivers licence. Break the law and you don't drive your car or surf here, whichever you prefer. Someone else put it like "It's their house, live by their rules". I think you all unerstand anyway, it's not a democracy and neither are most other net places.
  18. Well, going to Colorado to pick up the TPI setup. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Then I bought this from a hybridz member, Holset pro 52, should be here in a week or two. Gee, I wonder how much boost I can get out of that?!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe, just maybe I'll have 3 running cars instead of just 1! YEEEEHAAAAAAWWWWWW!
  19. The only manual trans to use is a lenco, best of both worlds.
  20. Well, the 406 dyno'd at 690HP, I was able to net 600 to the wheels based on mph calculations the last time out. That is about as real world as I can get with glide, that's about 13%. Art Carr tells me that their converter will loose between 9 and 10%.
  21. I've never been impressed with Reher-Morrison engines in anything but pro-stock where they charge $80K+ for one. Blue printing an engine can require assembly and disassembly of an engines parts 5 or 6 times. It starts with the machinist, which reher-morrison has in-house and we do not. The possibility of any normal person blueprinting an engine in his garage without access to machines is impossible, due to the fact that you can't change anything like rod length, piston to wall clearance, lifter bore clearance, valve heights, spring seat pressures, spring open pressures, etc, etc, the list goes on and on. You can check and adjust bearing clearances to a certain degree, but if the machinist has his head on straight, it'll be spot on every time.
  22. Go ahead "Make my day!" "Do you feel lucky, Punk?" "Do ya?" :lmao: :lmao:
