  1. Pictures Courtesy of Accurate Injection LS1 ITB's, oh and the LS1... Tyson
  2. I think I'm under 5k for this month...
  3. The blue car is Dan Juday's (yeay for having the orignal kit car magazine the car was featured in!!) The silver VQ35 Z is interesting, i appreciate the craftmanship but most of the car looked out of place to me. Too many things just didn't flow, the engine bay now has an attempt at a modern look with all sorts of preforated metal covering the engine bay. IDK good effort but just not my cup of tea. Tyson
  4. Umm sure? Was that supposed to be a counter point? I think Brian has a valid point, brand loyalist will be brand loyalist. The Skylline has its pro's the Corvette has it pro's. I don't think its fair to compare two cars in different price ranges really, don't let the brand loyalty keep you from either car. Choose the car that fits you physically, emotionally, performance, and in your price range. Just my .02 Tyson
  5. I like it Jon, if I didn't already have money dropped into my rear lights I'd follow this setup too. My only suggestion is don't paint it the same color as the rest of the car if you can, like 280ZForce's. Good job, Tyson
  6. Okay at first I really didn't like the car looks wise at all. Hadn't read too much on it or anything either. The Motortrend featuring it kinda got me interested, but then going to the LA Auto show, seeing it IN person made me fall in love with it. It may not be the best car or the fastest, but I like it, I like what it offers etc. Will I buy one now? No, however it is my planned first car to buy once out of school. By then I figure there will be good aftermarket to make it fast and will have dropped in price by then (used car). I have several more pictures, if anyone else would like to see but this one is my favorite. Tyson
  7. I thought I could go to bed its 12, but now I'm literally scared sh*tless of this guy busting down my door all oiled up singing girl I've really got you now...
  8. Hey Cable I haven't had any time to run over there. I was home for Thanksgiving day only then had to run back for school work. I'll be able to be out there for sure after the 18th of Dec when I'm out of school. Finals and crunch time right now. Sorry for the delay, Tyson
  9. HLS30H-08077 - Nicely done, pretty slick mod and it looks like you did a solid job with it!! Looks really good IMO. Tyson
  10. HLS30H-08077 - What type of hood is that? I didn't see it mentioned and it doesn't really look like the reaction research hood? Thanks, Tyson
  11. Hi Welcome to H Y B R I D Z, that spells HybridZ. You need to go back read some of the forum rules and guidelines if you have any intention of staying around. Heres the link: http://forums.hybridz.org/announcement.php?f=59&a=2 Also I know its "hip" to use SMS or IM typing, but please don't be lazy typing "Y do U", its hard to read and portrays you as a little kid. Also I highly doubt your AE86 is anywhere near the pinnacle of safety, yes newer cars can become better, some become worse. Also if old cars are not to be modified please explain the ENTIRE aftermarket automotive industry? Sure old cars may have history, but preaching "keep it original" is frowned heavily upon here. Also most of this forum is based around MODIFYING these old cars, as are MOST car forums out there. Thanks for responding maturely and hopefully you'll enjoy your stay around HybridZ. Tyson
  12. 2.5k, but in comparison to the Harrop and Kinsler setups its still 1/2 price (last I checked)!! So not too bad IMO. Tyson
  13. Thanks guys!! Hopefully I'll stop being a wuss and travel 2 hrs on the weekends and start working on my Z. I'm really impressed with the quality and HONESTY of the supplier. I'm excited about them needless to say, need to stop dreaming of a running Z and build it. Tyson
  14. Hey Bartman they come with individual Filters, but I'm looking into incorporating an Air Box through an SS hood Similar to BJhines. Tyson
  15. So, with a lack of garage I collect parts... My newest little toys, I should be completely done minus a few nuts and bolts for my LS1 240z project to be done parts wise and shouldn't take long to B U I L D (sorry had to spell it out for myself). Kevin from Accurate Injection was AWESOME to deal with, kept me updated and was honest with everything. Onwards with the pics!!
  16. fing sweet max!! Course i'd only expect this from you cool costume!! Tyson
  17. If you contact Zfiberglass, he's a good guy. He's nice, he seems honest and has parts on hand. The problem he ran into was shipping for product cross country (i.e. 400+ dollars for shipping of g-nose to cali) and a lot of people backed out. I have several email correspondance with him, he seems legit especially if you're close by him I think he's worth a try. Tyson
  18. Thanks EvilC, its from a Porsche actually... and of course I can't find my original for the comparison. Here's the original: Motorhead iirc its a combination of the Fill and paint brush tool, something you might enjoy checking out is PS-garage.com its where I did this the first time.
  19. Cool deal, I'll be looking to get some fenders done here soon. THANX!! Tyson
  20. I was in the 35k-40k range with on average 100hrs MANDATORY overtime, taking crappy calls from people dying or in need of medical help. I got tired of how poorly our Communications center was ran and how underpaid (in comparison to ENTRY level or SEASONAL fire-fighters who worked a 1/4 of the hours). After taking 12, yes 12 DOA calls in one day, I said I'm too young to be stuck here. So I went back to school, most will be paid for with I have saved up, but I'm back in the 0k salary. However I'm happy, less stressed, and have 4-day weekends, so I'm not complaining. Tyson
  21. Umm yes please? http://www.rockyauto.co.jp/stock/detail.php?id=1633 I can't wait till college is over and that well paying job rolls in . First car I'm going to buy with the money is old school Skyline...Yum LSX-S30 and an RB SKyline!!!! Tyson (I can dream can't I??)
  22. Sounds like a plan to me. I might be back in town again this weekend to exchange cars. If i do I'll give you a call so you can pick it up. Tyson
  23. We just moved in 1 year contract and its a nice place, would prefer not to move again its PITA . I have a LARGE amount of parts, i.e. doing a complete rebuild from bare chassis. So secured storage is much preferred. Sneakily working in my apartment building just is too impractical and they patrol it every night for security so that makes it hard to have a car sit there for any length of time. I'm curious how did you find and/or rent the empty garage was it just listed on the newspaper? I'm not opposed to that if it was separated and I had the keys for security. Electricity isn't such a big deal, can get a Generator from my Dad in construction, so that can solve that problem for powering things. Any other ideas? Thanks guys so far, Tyson
  24. No front mount made. I'll be getting rid of the one I have as I bought the AZ-Z car rear mustache. Still kinda at a loss for how to do the front mount and not really at a point for fabricating it either. Tyson
