bfg
I haven't done anything to my Z in a while but this weekend I recieved LOTS of free parts from a garage that used to be a "280z specialist" back in the day. Will be going back later this week to pick up the last of the parts including a 240z engine block with an E31 head as well as a 5 speed transmission. Really excited, this will put my restoration on the fast track.
redzedturbo
well im not sure what i did to her but something is off? left a light and ran her up to 7000rpm which is my hard limit. after that every time i see more than 10psi of boost it sounds like im on the soft limiter popping out of exhaust and losing power. only under load does this happen. almost like spark cut or timing retard i guess i will not know till i hook up my laptop to see whats going on. ohh yeah almost forgot 83 280zxt l28et ported head 450 injectors megasquirt ms1 stock turbo 15lbs large fmic 2.5'' exhaust no muff or cat. i have been running this setup for over a year with no problems and flog it properly on a daily basis. guess thats her way of saying enough...... RebekahsZ
Leaned back in my chair and thanked God that I put a LSx in my Z instead of fooling around with a turbo L6. Had a beer and considered all the hard work I'd have to do to get it ready for the strip next week: get in, start it up and run 7s all day long without breaking a sweat. OldAndyAndTheSea
FINALLY finished working the roof on my buddy's '71 240 Ugh.... And of course, perpetually waiting for parts for my Turbo build.

rags
Started the audacious task of pulling the LS to give the engine compartment the cleaning it deserves. Paint and wire tuck are on the agenda. Now to wait for someone to give me a hand so it doesn't smack the crap out of the firewall Joe
RebekahsZ
Wish I was your next door neighbor to help, rags! My daughter usually does it with me if I can get her off her cell phone! Last weekend, went 11.0 at 126 in the 1/4-mile Today, driving to Arkansas and back 5 hours each way! Still no mufflers, heat, wipers or defrost. Gotta beat the setting sun-temp drops to 32 tonight. Leon
Wish I was your next door neighbor to help, rags! My daughter usually does it with me if I can get her off her cell phone! Oh, Alabama. Makes sense... :lmao: Sorry, I HAD to do it!!! I'm fully prepared for a stereotyping counter-punch based on my location.

rags
Thanks for the offer Keith Well right after I posted that I took my "lunch hour" in the garage and pulled the motor and trans. After 5 I'll go out and clean up the mess Joe
OldAndyAndTheSea
Took off my headers and exhaust for storage. Put on my freshly shaved intake manifold and mocked up my turbo setup. And began comparing the two setups to make my new 3"
BluDestiny
I haven't done anything to my Z in almost 3 months. I'm currently studying abroad in Grenoble, France till end of this year and I'm itching to get back to it.

skirkland1980
The last thing I did to mine, other than look at it, was complete the full 3" exhaust. Which leads me to ponder why my AFRs are leaner now. I bumped the fuel pressure up a lil to compensate. I could retune but I have a cam swap planned and maybe a ported head swap too. So maybe I'll wait to tune.
ArchetypeDatsun
The last thing I have done to the Z was added a painted hood from my parts car.
Tony D
Bought Hybrid Z Quarter Window Decals for it! And matching clothing! Woot!
skirkland1980
New tires today! Primewell PS830 very inexpensive tires. It's raining today and I already noticed the wet traction isn't as good as the Dunlops that I removed.
