  1. How are your mounts? Pinion bearings? If it has had problems with 3 different rear ends I think you need to look elsewhere! drive shaft alignment?
  2. If it is built for fuel, It should run forever on gas! $1300 is an absolute steal!!!! Buy it!! Mongo
  3. Check ebay listings using Megasquirt as a keyword. Lotsbof them listed. Mongo
  4. Early Z's were not equiped with sway bars from the factory. If I recall, the 260Z was the first to get it. Mongo
  5. The trans main shaft needs to be as close to paralell as possible to the differential pinion. If you are off more than a degree or so you will have vibrations. The correct angles will determin where you trany should be mounted. Search will be your friend! Hope this helps Mongo
  6. Here are a few pics of my front struts, I ended up using the early struts as the collars I got didn't fit the larger 280 parts. They should be ok, although the 280 struts would be a little stronger. The collars are parts from an EBay coilover kit for a Honda. The kit came with 4 Collars and 4 springs. Springs are 450# and 500#, so they are more than I want. Coilover kit cost $40 to my door. I will sell the springs on EBay and hope to get $20 for them. That will make the cost of the collars $20. I am building my own camber plates, so the front suspension will be pretty reasonably priced. Here's some pics.
  7. Does anyone have photos of a disassembled Ground control Camber Plate? They state on their site that the monoball does not support the weight of the car. I am curious as to how they do this while maintaining the alignment of needle bearings. It seems to me that as the camber changes it would cause misalignment. A pic would sure help me visualize this. Thanks, Mongo
  8. Cygnusx1, How does that new mattress sleep? LOL Had to ask, Mongo

  13. Check for pinched, burned/melted wiring harness in the wiring that goes to the lights that are on the front of the car. I say the front because headlite wiring only goes forward, whereas Hazard and turn lights go fore and aft. Pinched harness could cause all problems
  14. My early 260 came with flangeless inner stubs.
  15. I have run ATF in my engines for years. With Dino oil only. It will keep your internals clean, and seals stay soft longer. It will also lower your OP if it running high. Mongo
  16. I had wires on my 79. It looked great. I would never do it again, they are a real pain in the ass to keep clean and rust free. Mongo

Happy BD, Happy, Happy BD this is your day so have a lot of fun. (Sung by Portlands own Heck Harper, everyday, when I was a young lad. Probably before you were born) Holy Moly! You be gettin older! I owe you a cup of Starbucks best. Let me know your favorite flavor and I will bring it next time I visit! Congrats Paul!! Mongo
  18. I did a search and could find no source of reasonably priced Fuel Cell Safety Foam. Jegs and summit want as much for foam as they do for A new cell. Does anyone have a source for foam? Mongo
  19. 350 Trany is not ideal. Swap parts can be fabbed up yourself for very little money if you have any skills at all. $1500 seems like a lot for what may be a stock chevy engine. IMHO, FWIW. Mongo
