  1. I was originally headed this direction. The aristo 2JZ GTE are plentiful. In Quebec Canada you can pick one up with 50k miles or less complete with all accessories, wiring harness, maf etc, auto trans for 1500 Canadian. That's about $17 bucks US right? Hehe. The manual transmission is the problem. Getrag 6speed are going for $3500-4000. The older 5 speed are fragile and people still want 1500+ for them. Rear sump pan swap is required from the aristo engine. There are lots of expensive aftermarket pans but I had trouble finding an oem one for a fair price. The turbo will hit the passenger side shock tower. Different manifold must be sourced. On a positive note. Local guy dropped an aristo engine and auto trans in a 260z with a 70mm Chinese turbo and ran 10.40@139. car really needs a higher stall. 60ft (1.9-2.0) were terrible and the turbo was laggy but man when the boost came on it flew.
  2. You guys have insurance to cover your losses?
  3. Might be hard to find voodoo engine, and expensive. Have you purchased one yet?
  4. New to LS motors. I see most guys just eliminate the MAFall together on the LS builds and run the car via MAP. Us ford guys run a MAF with everything up to 1000+ Hp cars. Ford hasn't used a MAP sensor since 1986. The problem running no MAF is that the car cannot make changes for altitude or large degree of temperature change like we have here in Ontario. Car will be running NA this winter, but turbo setup will be installed shortly afterwards
  5. Subbing. Hopefully this gets built. Many of us need that upgrade, including myself
  6. I have an 05 L33 in my 71 240. I was wondering if everyone was stick with the MAF setup or going speed density?
  7. Car looks clean. LS is a great platform in there. If you go 2JZ you just keep me in mind for the Holley system,
  8. I saw that one as well. I may trying the stokc one with a big electric fan and see what happens
  9. Quality build. Great attention to detail. I can see you spent many hours making everything work! Will be nice to finally see it go
  10. Its just the transmission that killling your price. $1500 Canadian and you can get a complete Aristo ( 2JZ Twin turbo), auto trans, and wiring harness. Guy here in ontario has that engine and auto trans in his 260 and is running 10.40@134 converted to a single chinese 70mm ebay turbo. http://www.kijiji.ca/b-quebec/aristo-engine/k0l9001
  11. Would it be a big problem swapping to an aristo 2JZ engine? There in the wreckers here all over the place. Found a few complete motor, auto trans, complete harness for $1100 CAD. If your going to add more boost, just fo forged from the beginning. Bore it and add a new piston.
  12. Looks like the dirty dingo mound sits at least an inch lower than the cx racing ones.
  13. Looking great. Were just boosted a friend JY 5.3. He has a T6 BW S480, LS1 intake, Stock, LS6 intake, Z06 cam, Chinese head stud, Meth, oem head gaskets and valve springs from the supercharged camaro. At 18 PSI it made 688 WHP through a Th400. The car was shut down at 5500 RPM because he is just learning to tun his Holley system. Should pull to 6500. So a solid 700 whp car on pump gas
  14. I just dont know how to mount the alt to clear the hood. Passenger side will have issues with the down pipe. Truck mount for high alt on drivers side hit the hood. The low mount way also creates issues with exhaust path. I would rather go under the header than over. IMO.
  15. Yes the headers touch the brackets on one size. NIce mustang in the sig, I have a 93 fox with a termie swap
  16. Pretty close but they fit. There is about 3/8" between the headers and the strut tower. 1 3/4 primaries are a little big and the 3" vband collector is definitely too big to be optimal in any car under 800 HP. At 160 bucks US, they meet my budget and I will be using them. The metal is a little think for my liking but it should hold twin t3's no problems. I will be going twin T4's so I may make a support bracket for the turbo's. The engine is a 5.3 aluminum L33 Gen IV, LS1 intake, upgraded cam, springs, and pushrods.
  17. Just testing fitting the C5 Corvette oil pan. Its about as shallow as a oil pan as you can get and it fits fantastic. My setup: 240z 5.3 Aluminum L33 CX Racing Motor mounts (there really high, wish i could lower then engine some) Pan site about 3/4" above the crossmember/ Tons of clearence even on low vehicles. Note the trans (4L80e) is not installed in this picture so the motor is tilting down about 2"-ish inches. The motor is going to be moved 1/2 to 1" forward, or I will remove the stock hood latch. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j33/mustangmerrill/Mobile%20Uploads/20160612_115648_zpszsxrd4au.jpg
