  1. I say LS1-T56 Has it been done before? Mike.
  2. I almost hate to say it but.... That motor sounds like a perfect candidate for something like that Holley Systemax setup. Yank the cam and manifold and sell em on E-bay Maybe switch the converter to a 3500/stall. What do you guys think? Mike. Very nice looking car by the way.
  3. JSM, If your battery is good and you have a high torque starter you can move the car short distances that way. I.E. in and out of the garage. It's a lot easier than pushing. Mike.
  4. G.B. Yep, right hand drive only baby. Mike.
  5. Jernut, Depending on who made the cam, sometimes you can find info stamped on the firewall end of the cam. Nissan used letter codes, A, B, C, etc... Crane actually uses the stock # of the cam, something like 068-1014 and such. If you are in there for valve lash adj. or whatnot just use a little mirror and have a look. Mike.
  6. I built an intercooler setup for my '91 eclipse and used the 2 !/2" straight gold stripe diesel radiator hose from NAPA. Buy it by the foot and cut it on a band saw. This was before you could buy the nice colored silicone hose cheap on E-Bay. It is oil resistant and worked fine for the 4 years I had it on the car. If you are talking about the entire intercooler piping set made out of custom formed hoses in fancy colors W/bends and evrything, it has been done before but as Prox stated above they are very expensive. Mike.
  7. 240z, Any way you look at it you're gonna need to get it welded by someone. Might as well have them reuse the old flange. Mike.
  8. Yup, I just looked at them on http://www.car-part.com. There are a couple of them for between $1500-2K. Anybody know how these motors compare weight wise to an early small block w/ aluminum heads? Mike.
  9. 240Z, Before you go looking for an adapter, and spending needless money. Just cut the mounting flange off of the current pipe you have and weld it on to the new larger elbow. Now take the $35.00 you just saved and spend it on T-Bolt clamps and silicone hose for your intake or BEER or dinner with your GF or.......... Mike.
  10. Sk8r, Go to the turbo section and read all of the stickys at the top of the page. That's as good a starting point as any for understanding turbos and their installation. Mike.
  11. MMMMMM Crunchy.. LOL Mike.
  12. Cruez, You can sandblast it off. That's the fastest way. Mike
  13. Dwrecckk, Welcome to H.Z.. The car looks good from the outside. I'd recommend looking for rust under any carpet that may be on the floor. Especially right in front of and just behind the seats. Mike.
  14. C-F Uhhh... Did you say 2" tubing? Thats huge. Mike.
  15. G/J Sounds like a shakedown to me. I'd call the cops. Mike.
  16. Shawheeet! As soon as I get some cash into my paypal account I'll take two. Mike.
  17. G.V. Besides displacement, the larger bore of the 400 block will help to unshroud the valves which is always a good thing. IF he has been doing as he says it should be fine. If you purchase it, plastiguage a couple of bearings and maybe even check a ring gap or two before you run it. Does it come with a balancer and flywheel/flexplate? Was it balanced with these? Sounds like a good deal as long as the cylinder walls are thick enough. Mike.
  18. Hmmm, GT2, Z06....... Take them both out for a flog then decide. Or you could do this........ http://videos.streetfire.net/Player.aspx?fileid=EF4051DA-E3BC-48F9-B8E6-3723CCCB8701&p=0 But with an LS7, they are only 13K through Jegs. Or a 2JZ like this. http://www.stwok.com/DSC00728.JPG With the kind of money you're talking about, I'd Do the LS7/S2000 Combo myself. Mike.
  19. Bobby, Looks like they are sayin that it is an SSautochrome part. Look for them on ebay. Mike.
  20. Hey, AUX. You could try one of these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-Vibrant-Resonator-Muffler-304-SS-Polished-18-1795_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33636QQihZ002QQitemZ120073633018QQtcZphoto Mike.
  21. CARTO410, Use a stock turbo gasket from Nissan if you are not going to boost any more. If you are, just buy the metal gasket from these guys. http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CP&Category_Code=s30_nismo_headgasketL28 Mike.
  22. Cygnus, Sorry to hear about your problems with the Slamsung. Try talking with the store manager, or go up the ladder to his/her boss. I'll second the suggestion on the panasonic. The best picture I've ever seen in a consumer camera. The reds are actually red, no washout on the highlights, and the picture is super sharp. Seriously, when you watch a video from this camera it looks like low level pro video. The 3 CCD thing really makes a big difference. Mike.
  23. Yeah, It's actually a black nickel plating, not chrome. And it looks fantastic... for about 20 minutes, or untill someone touches it. Mike.
