  1. That will probably work fine, as I recall, the bends are all pretty gentle. You could add a little heat for sharper bends, or once you get it in place, dust it with the heat gun and it will hold shape a little bit.
  2. I have had pretty good luck using a heat gun to get ABS to bend. You can set up molds out of MDF or even just bend it over something (like a piece of tubing). The trick is to manage the heat.
  3. I am pretty sure Skillard make aluminum ones
  4. Good info here. There is just so little room for seat and cage, not to mention driver. I have been considering adding a roll bar to my build. However, since it is a street car, and I am a bigger guy, I am not sure I have enough room to get a tube in there that wont be a hazard to my head.
  5. well, those aren't going anywhere. Looks great. Again, thank you for sharing.
  6. I applaud you trying something different. I wonder how that will act in a long sweeping turn. Holding steering input and having roll. I would imagine it will pull on the strut and have some steering input. But I have no real world experience.
  7. Check out the FAQs section. I think an R200 would meet your needs. But there are a couple good options.
  8. I personally, would stick them in as is. Maybe drill some holes in the floor and plug weld. Stitch some 1" sections. Seam seal it all up. But that is just me.
  9. I too have started looking into paint and body in the Bay Area. I am looking into the costs/benefits of hauling my car to Nevada for paint and body. Hard to get clear answers.
  10. Paralysis by analysis. Is this leverage a real problem? Seems like there are plenty of well sorted, fast Z's out there overcoming this issue. But then again, this is hybridz, blaze your own path.
  11. This build is so good. Your posts inspire me on my own project. Thanks man.
  12. Awesome. I am interested to see what you come up with.
  13. That looks fantastic. There is a whole lot going on in that little corner. My car is the same way... 10 pounds of **** in a 5 pound bag.
  14. Great work. Love the attention to detail. Darius did a car with that kit finished out to a high level, I am sure they had to go to great lengths to get the fitment dialed.
  15. Yikes. Those rear control arms are interesting. That seems like the worst possible location and wrong plane to put flat plate in.
  16. My experience with seats, you need to cut out the factory stuff and build your own, as low profile as possible. Well, that is what by big ass needed. Someone smaller may be able to do a bolt in. Go check out Planted, they might have something more bolt in. https://www.plantedtechnology.com/
  17. Its alive! Well... you have tail lights at least. I have considered doing the Honda motor upgrade. I will take that accord motor off your hands.
  18. Rest in peace, he was one of us. Damn shame.
  19. I think that is the right call. Going to save you so much time and money in the end.
  20. I had the same thought. Why not move it above the runner? But on the other hand, it doesn't take very much load.
