I bought one of those ones selling on ebay for $349.00 and its very nice, except that mine is a tad narrow compared to the oem fit. I measured my oem, then the CF hood and the CF is aprox 3/16 narrow than the oem. Others have said theirs fit well, so I must have got a blem....

That wasn't necessarily a blown motor.... That same thing happened to me one time on the dyno. It was a I/C hose that blew off and looked/ sounded just like that did.... Lets hope that was the case with that car...

If you look at this pic you posted the other day, you will notice a gray plug just above and to the right of the oil cap, on the intake plenum. That plug is only on the R33 & up. Also, the shape/ style of the oil cap is another tale tale sign. The R32 has like 5 knobs for your fingers to grip, while the R33 has just the one strait grip for your fingers to open it. The cap of course can be changed out, but the knock sensor harness with the gray plug is a pretty sure shot its a 33....

Is that all one sentence?

Good score! Got you a R33 motor there.... at least the crank snout oil drive won't be a issue for you. What all did you get with it, and where did you find it? .

Well, thought I'd update the oil pan thread.... Here is a shot of the finished pan, showing the right rear passenger side, with the -12 pick up line on the botton, and the head drain mod -12 line above it. I finally started up the motor, and had instant 60 lbs preasure @ idle... clickit

HaHa... sounds like when I paid top dollar for a pair of "rust free" doors from him, only to get them with rust bubble blisters at the bottom of the doors.... his remark after contacting him for a return, " oh, those are what I consider rust free".... yea, right. They were returned....

Huh? If it has a viscious in it, I'd be surprised. Those are very rare. Its most likely a CLSD if its a LSD at all...

What I'd like to know is who chooses for it to show the bidders that way? I have several items for sale right now on egay, and none of mine say that for the bidders ID. I even started one of my auctions off as a "private listing" and it didn't call the bidders "Bidder #1 etc., it just said private, thats all.... Ebay must do this at random, and for semi high dollar items?? I guess....??

That looks to be a great swap... You should be very happy with it. I saw one of the Z31s with the RB20det in it online some where not long ago. Its at a importers shop some where in the northeast. Its a right hand drive black Z31 and I think the guy wants like $1500 or so for it. I wouldn't think twice about doing that same swap you did. I think its a great chassis to drop a RB motor into... enjoy it, and great job!! keep the great pics coming... j.
