  1. Yes,I know that no two were the same. I just did not think the tail lights varied. I had a ride in the 1962 GTO, s/n 3705 GT (shown in staledale's provided links) in the 1980's. Was owned by a guy in Illinois at the time. A friend of mine finished the restoration of it back then. I am going to ask him next time I see him about the lights. (if i remember that is).
  2. I just noticed this. This car has amber lights below the red lights. I have seen several GTO's with the amber lights on the top row. Isn't that the correct position?
  3. From Motorsport. Thanx. (Answered your PM)
  4. 76s30, Is your Fairlady the one that was for sale in Ripon?
  5. Another option is Kwik Wire. I have seen theirs at a car show. Looks very nice but more money. Their manufacturing plant is about an hour from my house. http://www.kwikwire.com/aboutus.html I see EZ Wire sells their products also.
  6. I agree w/John, that break location is typical of road racing that I have seen too. In that situation the wheel leaves the car. (with drum brakes) Yikes!
  7. Dogs name is Gunner. Cat is in love with him and he hates it. Ha!
  8. My favorite is of course the one I worked on in the Air Force. The F4C/D Phantom. Being under one of these arming and dearming weapons with engines running was a rush! This is our squadron picture.
  9. I took this picture late in the day in September. Camera batteries were low so the exposure was wrong. Kind of different look.
  10. The person is from Georgia. I sold him an item in the recent past on eBay. I will respect his privacy on this one. He is refurbrishing a custom 240Z that at one time was a national show car. I believe he found it sitting in storage.
  11. I am running the same motor as you (stock). I now have 135fuel with 180air and 60pilots. No hesitation and fairly good mileage considering I have a 4:11 rear gear ratio. Try my set up. I think you will like it.
  12. Those turbo mufflers are no good and last for about 2 years. The very small internal holes that seperate chambers become plugged with rust and carbon. Yours sounds as though it is plugged now. It took me a long time to figure out what was going on with mine. Either that or your linkage is not correct and the butterflys are not full open at WOT. Or both. Sorry but your does not RPM like it should IMHO.
  13. Interesting that they are embaressed to quote a price. The emissions tests look good. But I would like to see a major magazine test it and post their results.
  14. I have a question on the bedliner products. Do the MSDS sheets on these products show them to be petrolium based? I was wondering if you experience oders from these liners when the car sits in sun on 90 degree day.
  15. You should definately send a photo to MM of the spring gap remaining with the car sitting on the ground after a drive. To me the springs are very suspect. If they bind on compression, well, thats not good at all.
  16. I agree with Jon. Why not check valve adjustment and then run a compression test. Tearing a motor apart for a click click is just nuts without further testing.
  17. From your first post my guess is that you have the famous 280Z Datsun electronic distributer problem. Good luck.
  18. I will take a shot. It looks like to me that you have a 74-1/2 260Z on up air dam on a 74 260Z. I think yours should be the version with the directionals below the bumper.
  19. The place I use can do a car. Thay were doing a complete A-H 3000 when I was there last.
  20. There sure is a variety of experience with MSD ignitions. Mine has been good. I have had my 6AL installed for 12 years now. (72Z with a L28). It is triggered by the points. I run quality 8mm wires and have the head grounded to the block as recommended by MSD. It is mounted in the engine bay with vibration isolaters. I agree they do seem to have too many failures. I just do not understand why.
