  1. Starting at $29990!!! You guys are so lucky! A 350z starts at $64990 in Australia. Gees, I just bought my wife a corolla for almost that price. If cars were that cheap over here, I would need a bigger block of land to park them on.
  2. Well, that depends what you consider a crap load. We are definitely not talking Megasquirt type costs here. I've got sequential ignition and injection with my Motec (Haven't gone to the trouble of custom tables for each cylinder as I can't measure the exhaust from each cylinder), Haltech E11 will do sequential ignition and injection, but not sure if you can customise for cylinders. I would think they would have a trim on each cylinder that you could activate. And with the Aussie dollar being so bad at the moment, either of these brands should be looking a bit cheaper for you guys at the moment.
  3. I was always impressed with how much light my mates RX8 had. This should be a real big improvement. Well done and thanks for sharing.
  4. Just get yourself a decent computer and run full sequential ignition and injection. That way (with an O2 bung in each exhaust) you can tune each cylinder precisely.
  5. Excuse my ignorance, but I thought you put the O2 sensors in the exhaust? Isn't it to determine the air fuel mixture after it is burnt? So that you know if you are running rich or lean.
  6. Sorry for the misdirection. I am running a full aftermarket system. The only thing stock in my fuel system is the fuel lines from the tank. Sorry to misdirect. EDIT: P.S. Wheels look good, but buy four 10.5" wheels. Then you can use all these for the fronts and you will have two sets of wheels.
  7. I'm running 14lbs on a 260z that originally had a carburetor engine. It does have a high pressure fuel pump, but stock lines. Edit: I didn't read your question properly, I thought you were only talking about the fuel lines. I also have a new fuel rail and larger injectors.
  8. I hadn't even noticed it was flared until you brought it up. Very nice execution.
  9. Turbo charge it, that should quieten down the car park idle
  10. Good Idea, any Idea how I change the title?
  11. Fair enough, thanks for the time replying.
  12. A quick question from the NON specialist. As I understand the steering in a Z is heavy/hard to manipulate quickly due to the angles of the suspension/steering components. Correct? Would having power steering in the Z without fixing the cause of the heavy steering put extra stress on the suspension/steering components? Would the benefit out way the requirement to check the components more often?
  13. HA! good one. But it was actually a knife.
  14. I did have a wink after the crazy part. It is probably more just my jealousy coming out (looking over shoulder making sure police aren't behind me as I press Submit).
  15. HA! She is obviously a true car fan as much as you are. Congratulations
  16. Oh your mean (Refering to the Teasing), That looks damn good. Well done. I feel like we're a bunch of school kids and your the one kid with the newest toy. We're all huddling around just waiting for you to finish assembling it so that it can be played with.
  17. WOW! Nice work. Imagine how cool a polished aluminium Z would look. Would be a pain to keep clean, but would look so cool.
  18. My mistake, seems that there is a 100mm version. You must have used that one as I can still see some of the bezel.
  19. What size gauges did you use? Those links come up with a 3,3/8" gauge as the largest gauge. Did you use this or did you find a 5" version? Cheers
  20. WOW! You americans are crazy;) I'd be afraid to even research a gun like that in Australia. Would be looking over my shoulder every 5 seconds waiting for the federal police to show up. LOL.
  21. You know we expect a write up on the SPAL instal
  22. I don't have the dyno sheet, will get the guys to send me a copy when they start back up on the 5th. Can't remember the torque value, to be honest, I didn't care to much about numbers, more how smooth the tune was. Only remembered the hp number because the tuner thought he was going to see more then that. It is intercooled, there was a fan blowing, hood up, the day was fairly normal afternoon, maybe 28-30degs C, humidity wouldn't have been much more then about 70%, A/Fs where below 1, flicking between about 0.8 and 0.95. I'll post the sheets when I have them.
  23. Of course. Gifts sound good.
  24. HA! This instantly popped into my mind when you said that. Imagine a Drag strip with an overhead setup like that all the way down the strip. HA!
