  1. hey congrats man! it is a neon, but its a damn quick neon and not a bad ride for that price! HAHAHAHAHAROFLMAO.. good luck with that one....HA. you might have a new car now but your still a car guy right? and when can a car guy ever not have to jump on a good deal, or modify simply because "you can". I know it sucks but just sell her...you can always find anotherone later (although prices have been on the rise!) puting the car in storage will only result or more things going wrong at a more frequent rate. sell her to somebody that really wants her (be picky about buyers if you can) and keep tabs on the car and its progress with the new owner. anywho, post some pictures soon, and some times or dyno sheets once you get her broken in. turn that AC up for me....105 degrees here yesterday....70% humidity........no AC
  2. same part for a nissan NX2000 or pulsar I believe. I bought mine of ebay listed as such...for some strange reason..nobody bid on it?
  3. "c'mon Marge, its fun to smash things!" -Homer and Marge's first date. been there and done that John. used to have service with T-suckble, some many POS phones along with Craptacular service. dropped calls every time...only place I could make a call was when I was driving down the highway! still enrages me to this day. my first phone got thrown into my deck at a high rate of speed, disintegrating into a billion tiny bits. second phone got thrown into the dishwasher at work for an 8hour shift...melty melty. and the third is still intact as I switched services before I could get angry enough to destroy it. I'm still wondering what to do with it...would like it to be something spectacular though...perhaps a small nuclear blast? a 200K pound press sounds mighty tempting though....what do you guys think would happen to it?
  4. ricka-racka-fire-cracker. edited due to stupidity factor of 3.
  5. Good luck with your purchase man, Its totally understandable as I've been in an out of that boat for the last several months. I thought so many times about getting a MiniS...still thinking about that actually. anywho, Go with silver with dark interior...
  6. I always had problems with my 72, and like Mike, ended up getting incredibly sick after a long lowspeed drive in traffic. Now, I have replaced the hatch seals, door seals, window seals, and also sealed off the open gaps around the strut tower reinforcements ( throw a drop light under the rear end of the car and look at the base of the reinforcements...see the light! ) but have yet to drive the car enough to know for sure. will update in a few weeks..I hope.
  7. the best part of that garage?... yummy yummy Pacifico!
  8. its really coming along, and as usual, looks fantastic!
  9. I have a 40GB iPod and its still not enough for me. but this Nano i so small I might just have to get one of the 4GB ones for day to day activities. Problem is, I never really know what I want to listen too on a daily basis, thats what makes the 40GB so nice, I'm bound to find something to suite my mood.....4GB might be a little harder. p-p-p-pppowerbook!
  10. totally agree!! I also loose interest all the time...the car will sit, problems with parts, constantly modifying things in hope that it might just work, one thing after another. But I always remember just how satisfying the car was when she was ugly split pea green and running a relatively stock 2.4. when your without something for so long you naturally wonder why your doing what your doing. I cant really speak for you Aux, but when i think about selling my car to get a mini-S, I realize how much money i'm going to loose, All the time I've spent on it using my hands and my skills, and I think about how much fun these cars really are. sometimes you just have get over your lack of motivation and go out there to work on the car, I always find that when I start making real progress I take a step back and reminisce about how much joy the car has brought me in the past, and even though I am at a low spot now, how much joy the car will bring me WELL into the future....If I just work on the car and make things happen. get up early one day, clean up your work space, get the priority list out and get to work. Sometimes the work may seem insurmountable, maybe over all you have way too much work left on the car, but maybe you can rearrange the to do list so that the car can atleast be driven and enjoyed while you finish other things that you don't truly need to finish. If I was in Cali I would love to donate my time to help you finish your car.
  11. I've watched a few of them....pretty cool overall but I wish I knew what the heck was going on! so confusing! the last two I watched I was wonder WTF is up with this? Hansen? he's one mean evil weirdo....in other news I'm changing my user name to Speedy Antonio... ANTONIO!!!!!!!!
  12. HA! well played my friend, well played. almost shot Thai fried rice out of my nose. and twins! wow thats going to be alot of work but WELL worth it in the end. only problem with that though is when they both turn 16....buying two cars at once...yeouch!
  13. ugh, that thing needs to go back to the eighties! too bad the coke head record exec that owned it then didnt crash it off a cliff. nice engine though......
  14. looking good mike! its a good idea to take a break every now and then...you might just get some new ideas or solve some problems while your on downtime. personally, I've been waiting for me turbo rebuild kit from turbonetics for about three weeks now and have not done a thing on my car...then again, im not trying to make it to SEZ! boo and hiss.
  15. thanks for the Info Alex! when I moved downtown I never transferred my internet or cable so I'm only online when I am at school and inbetween classes and the school network doesnt allow IM services to operate. plus I finally got my car back from paint yo! I spend all my time on school projects or trying to get my car back together again on table scraps and spare change.
  16. oh oh! me too! for shiats and grins...wonder what shipping is like on a hood
  17. well, as an ex skateboarder, and current snowboarder...its an interesting idea and really cool...but not for me. Its one thing to fall hard on snow or hardpack...but an entirely different thing falling on Concrete or asphalt. no thank you...I will simply ride my MTN bike during the offseason.
  18. Im a fan of Aesop Rock, Mad villains, Deltron, lyrics born, mr lif, ugly duckling, atmosphere, blackalicious abstract rude, non-phrophets and my fav at the moment...MF doom. sweet stuff. indie scene and low-fi stuff has been good to me lately as well. recently saw le tigre, modest mouse, interpol, and de la soul...I've got tickets for built to spill in september as well as interpol again (GF really likes them) ACL in austin should be a rockin festival but cant justify the price of non-guaranteed admissions... anywho, music is my first true love, then Zcars... its even better to combine them...listening to good music while in a Z car.....heaven!
  19. very cool, love drivetrain swaps of any kind really, takes talent, skills, and taste to make if happen...
  20. garret, what exhaust manifold are you running and how did you plumb the wastegate?
  21. do you hear the sound when you just shake it around? I would blow some compressed air trough it from multiple angles, multiple times and see if it still tings at you. check to see if the wheels are scraping the housings at all, the wheels will ting like a tuning fork when they scrape the wall and then release. throw some oil at the bearings and see what happens. otherwise its time to yank the sucker apart.
  22. so sad, wouldnt work for me either. O-well, guess I will just have to wait for my copies!
