  1. I was hoping one of the suspension gurus would chime in here. Why do you want your car lower? I think the stance is pretty good how it sits now. My tokico springs are loose on their spring perch when the car is on stands, is that how the eibachs are? I would wait until someone with actual experience comments in here before doing anything hah.
  2. 5'3" 125 lbs hah Turbo swaps are pretty easy to find... Look on Z31.com, Z31performance.com, 88hybrid.com, etc
  3. My turbo injectors are in poor condition, I'm thinking about sending them to be cleaned and rebuilt - Are you going to try and fix these yourself?
  4. Fusible links were giving me lots of trouble, I was in the same boat with a new battery and alternator. I converted to the Scoche fuse block and have had no problems. I would recommend it.
  5. Does anyone else cringe when people use phrases such as 'carbon footprint' and 'green _____?'
  6. Glad to hear you at least got the long block back - at least it's not starting completely over.
  7. I saw two in the For Sale Section yesterday - Have you looked or searched??
  8. That is sad to see, I hope you don't get too frustrated and give up on the car. It looked great from the pictures :/ Good luck
  9. You can also heat up the outside of the metal with a torch, and after a while the rubber will get soft and you can knock it out with a hammer.
  10. I pull both, trying to hook the tranny up while under the car is not fun.

    heads

LEngine is telling me the E31 has a 42.4 CC chamber, the E88 has a 44.7 CC chamber, the N42/N47 has a 44.6 CC chamber. Do you have any reason beside thinking that the chamber is larger to swap a head for performance? I would suggest searching and reading as much as you can on performance cams if you want to go for N/A power. *edit* You seem new to this, IIRC E31 and E88s were L24 heads, N42s and N47s came on the L28
  12. The car is looking great, sorry I haven't been around much to help you with it :/ By the way you have a link fail up there ^
  13. Also, If you can find an early 260Z the brackets will bolt right up to the 280Z frame. No modification or special brackets needed. I happened across an early 74 in a junk yard and found this out.
  14. Its just the turn signals, and if you fancy, you can get a 240 grille and marker lights to convert the front end to look like a 240Z. I'm running 280 marker lights with an early 260Z front bumper
  15. Does it have stock EFI? A rebuilt motor? Pictures would help out here.
  16. That's awful. If you like the looks of it, you could do a 'custom' rear piece, and run a shaved rear without a bumper. It's obvious from the photos the rear bumper didn't help much anyways :/ I would check and see if the frame rails were twisted at all in the front. Other than that the car doesn't look unrepairable. Good luck!
  17. Dude Josh.... You have waaaay to much time on your hands. That's awesome, BTW
  18. No No No You are thinking of the super rare 260Z 2+2 with the Y44 Nissan V8 installed from the factory! How could you possibly leave that out?
  19. Ha! Is this possible? I think the turbo swap questions are worse... Although I did get a good laugh at the one the other day that was asking for a good website to find aftermarket parts for a 240Z
  20. Gallo can you send me a link to more pictures of your car? If I get time to paint it this summer my car with be graphite/gunmetal but I am thinking about putting a flat black stripe on it to retain the legit-ness of my user name [i'm known around these parts as 'Flat Black' heh] and I'd like to see how it looks.
  21. Find poor University students to re-assemble it for way less than a shop will cost... And while you're at it throw in more free oil and beer [i use synthetic 10-30 and drink Sierra Nevada Pale Ale]
  22. You might try the new slave anyways, I sure hope $12 isnt breaking the bank And if it's not the problem you'll have a spare.
  23. Could be. Having a hard time putting it into gear won't have anything to do with your Pressure Plate though. You can get a slave cylinder at AZ for about $12 and it has a lifetime warranty, and takes about 15 minutes to swap and bleed. My Z31's went out on the way to autozone and I did it in the car park.
