  1. It's a bolt-on affair if you're swapping one complete head for the other. The P90a is likely a hydraulic lifter head while the P90 is a solid lifter. The P90a can be converted to solid lifter if the hydraulic ones are in poor shape or if you need to run a non-stock cam.
  2. There's free iPhone apps that'll show the same The one I have isn't super responsive, but it is great for sustained speeds (ie. freeway driving) and it does okay around town.
  3. His cold start valve port is definitely gone I second the option of running it in a spacer behind your Weber throttle body. Alternatively drill and tap the manifold behind the throttle entrance. 180* from where the cold start used to be.
  4. To me it comes down to the condition of that red interior. You can paint any Z white and put a red interior in any car, but the red stuff is hard to come by in good condition. If you're going to have to replace most/all of it anyway, it might be better to find a more solid starting point. If it's all there and all in good shape, then it could very well be worth your money and time to pick it up. Like Plata said, projects like these are all about feeling good. If you think the car is a good one, then go for it! You've done enough buying and selling of s30s to know what's worth your time and what isn't
  5. I think Leon was speaking for all of us about how we're jealous of your Z and doing so in good humor. Scrub 'em up and show them off some more! I've had really good results using the orange-based stuff to cut through road grime, so I'd give that a shot.
  6. Maybe you should take them off and have them gold plated? Is the anodizing faded or just dirty? Just clean them up if they're dirty and avoid any caustic cleaners as they can harm the finish of anodized aluminum. I'm missing what the challenge is here??
  7. The shirts look like this and 20% of profits go straight back to Dan to help run the site! Here's a link to the thread with more info: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/113619-hybridz-apparel-order-thread-round-2/ I'll be starting a new thread for a new buy as soon as this one is completed and I've had a chance to explore other options for screen printing. The shop I use now does great work at a great price, but they can be kind of slow. I have a feeling that their big orders and regular accounts get priority sometimes.
  8. Still waiting on them from the screen printer, which is super frustrating! Apparently some of the American apparel stuff was back ordered, but they didn't mention it until I inquired as to what was taking so long. They said they should be done some time this week. Thanks for all of your patience guys!
  9. Pull the caliper off and hang it up with a zip tie so you don't have to disconnect the brake line. Then clean everything up with a citrus based cleaner. It cuts right through brake dust and road grime! Works great on wheels too!
  10. Erik, I just shot you a PM. I'm only about an hour away from that crank alexx933 posted and might be able to get it to you. -Ryan
  11. This thread is an excellent resource for suspension fasteners: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/98751-suspension-bolts-inventory/?&gopid=1027251&do=findComment&comment=1027251
  12. Sounds a little advert-y to me... Cool product, but it should be in the vendor's forum!
  13. Context: http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/pricesandrules.aspx
  14. I've heard of people running a ratchet strap between both doors to pull them in tight in the hot summer sun to help compress new weather stripping. Car looks EXCELLENT! You don't see too many black Zs out there, and your's looks great! Were are you at on your ride height adjustment?
  15. Comparing the T3 kit and John's kit isn't comparing apples and apples. His comes with A LOT more. Add up all of the pieces that you're getting with his kit and you'll see that his prices are fair. If you want something less than the kit he offers, get in contact with him and see if there's something that you can work out at a lower price point.
  16. The wiring is pretty straight forward with the wiring diagrams from the FSM or even haynes manuals. Going with a points (240z) distributor makes the job even easier.
  17. Anyone have a favorite FPR for this application that doesn't break the bank? Everything I've seen either looks to be very low quality, or around $200.
  18. They're not rare, some people like them. They're factory "Iron Cross" wheels off of a 280zx. I had a set that came on my first Z, a '79 ZX!
  19. Check Napa as well. I think I bought mine there like 2 years ago.
  20. Hopefully they meant fuel consumption rather than economy!
  21. Trim the bushings and install zerks to make it easy maintenance.
