Why is it scary? If it fails you just have regular manual steering?
I have no experience with this exact setup but I used to work at an ATV/Motorcycle/Snowmobile dealership in the service department. The 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 700 FI uses a similar setup and it works very well and has proven to be reliable. If it were a reputable company and quality components I wouldn't hesitate to use it.
Well again, mine was Prothane brand and not Energy, so I can't speak for that. Sorry, my mistake I can say for sure that the WASHERS were different diameters on the inner portions. Not the poly.
But I don't recall there being any difference in the sleeves within them, like a taper or anything. They were straight right through.
I'd have to pull mine apart to see so maybe someone else can chime in on here that remembers.
I installed a Prothane kit and it came with the inner bushing sleeves. I merely tightened things until they were on good and snug with very little crushing of the poly. The sleeves rode right up to the base of the tapered stud. There's a top and bottom to the poly portions of the bushings (different inner diameters due to the taper obviously.)
Those three are very good books for sure. I got them a few months ago and am always learning everytime i crack the cover.

Hmmm... I think you'd have a hard time putting an LS1, 2JZ or RB26 into it so I doubt any HybridZ members would invest any time into a project like that.
Ok thanks,
Not bein' a dummy, I just thought maybe you had somewhere in particular that was a good place to buy. Thanks for getting back to me with the info, I appreciate ti.
I have the Prothane chassis kit for my S30.
I did pretty much everything in the front at the end of last summer. I'm just finishing up the rear and it's a very complete kit and a nice install. I recently came across information regarding the rod failure in another post.
Does anybody have the Nissan Part Number for the factory rubber bushings? I threw mine out last year when I replaced them with the poly.
I'd like to do that swap in the meantime (immediately) and then i'll pony up for the TTT rods later this year.
Wow. Excellent driving on both parts, although I don't think i'll be pulling out many of those moves at any upcoming track days.
The Aussie was pushin' awful close to the walls. Nice driving!
IMO to pull off black you've got to have some dish to the outer rim.
So my vote would go to something lighter like the Duplicolor Gunmetal with a polished outer lip.
Or else the black "divots" with a polished center section looks great.
I never have an empty garage to clean, there's alway some project going on. That's the trick at least. As long as you sweep up and remove anything hazardous, just keep the projects coming along and you won't notice it's dirty.
Gotta ask because I was wondering this, why on the 260Z is there a need for a mechanical pump at the block and an electric one at the tank? Other than possibly the obvious answer or additional fuel pressure.
Any reason I couldn't toss a higher flow rate electric pump in there and ditch the mechanical pump and use a block off plate? (Which by the sounds of it is what MikeBZ did. Any dis-advantage to this?

All this talk is making me try to convince myself that i'd be best to stick with the Triples i've got. Sounds like an expensive, slippery slope. I already got into that sickness with Jeeps. Started modding and now i've got 4 of them and not one is stock...
Thanks for the link! I've been looking at other lighting options for the Z and am heavily into Jeeps myself.
Look like a bit of a wait though before they have stock again, i'd have to see what the beam pattern is like before shelling close to $350 out for them (and it better be perfect at that price lol).
