  1. Just got it Williams Oil Filter Services 1247 Puyallup Ave Tacoma, WA 98421 (253) 627-8163 Before I got the name I found it on google earth. coordinants are : 47°14'33.28"N 122°24'52.93"W
  2. Theres this hydraulics and diesel supply place on the tide flats in Tacoma, between I5 and 509, they have all kinds of hydraulic stuff. They built the lines I am using for the stock 280zxt oil cooler in my 240z. I can't remember the name of it right now. If you need it I have a pretty decent flare tool, it has the mandrel to do double flares.
  3. Most people just replace wiring harnesses with painless or similar. The only reason I can see to keep the original would be for a concourse restoration. The issue with the old wiring harnesses is that the insulation gets brittle and cracks. Condensation get inside the wire and corrodes the wire causing higher resistance, poor performance.
  4. This is NOT my sale, I don't know him, ect. This just looks like a good deal. If I had a V8 I would get this, but I am happy with my L28. http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=133614 "ectromotive full TEC2 ecu for 8cyl needed to make work MAP, IAT, crank wheel and trigger" the guy is asking $600
  5. To get more steering angle you will first need to solve the problem of the wheel running into the TC rod and frame rail (or sway bar)
  6. I bought a set of wheels from http://www.takumiproject.com and have been really happy, they kept me updated on exactly what was happening with the order, even when they found a -minor- problem with one of the wheels, they offered to fix for free or send them as is and knock $50 off the price, or to completely refund my money.
  7. Someone made a SMG thing for a 510 once. But it was their EE project, used electric solenoids and I think he programmed it himself. Not a kit at all.
  8. If it is a clip you should be able to start the engine.
  9. I have a round dynomax, it sounds nice. 3" in and out. got it from summit.
  10. I have a 24"x12"x3" core and it works nice. I had a big volvo IC before, I dont remember how big it was but it was probably 17 or 18" tall
  11. I'm going to guess that they are cast iron. I would just weld it on there and hit it with a hammer to make sure it held. The only way it would be an issue would be if you were applying a big non-linear load to the axel stand. I think there would be other problems first.
  12. I got my quote from Doug at http://www.fairladymotors.com or http://www.upgarageusa.com I was over there the other day and they were starting up each clip and getting a video of it starting/running/reving/making boost.
  13. I was quoted $4500 for an R33 with RWD transmission and the right (rear sump) oil pan. $3800 sounds like a good deal to me.
  14. That looks like it will work fine. If you get another one that you want to be quiet I recommend the HKS racing BOV, it is really quiet, just barely noticeable with no chirp at all. If you want I can get a video up.

    r200

A pic of the diff is all most people need. One of the sites out there had comparison pics. If you're really lost I have an R180 and R200(now with LSD!) sitting outside.
  16. A couple weeks ago UPS left a summit box by our gate, about 350' from my house, at least it was about 40' off the road and not visible.
  17. Some of the hot rolled steel has mill scale on it, its really really hard stuff. When I worked at a tool and die shop some of the die plates had this on them, I think a solution was to use this special really really big mill (multiple rotating heads cutting over a rotating work surface). I don't remember what we used to get it off the smaller stuff, probably just painted over it, we were concerned with functionality, not looks (unlike a chopper)

    3.54 or 3.90?

The 3.9 instead of the 3.54 makes your gears into a closer ratio transmission. More shifting, but keeps it in the power band easier.
  19. I got one from Meguiars, but that was part of a kit at laguna seca. It is made by black and decker, so whoever sells B&D tools probably either has them or can order them.
  20. That would be sweet. I've played with the 240z and 280z frame drawings in solidworks a little bit, but never produced anything worthwhile. I would pay atleast $5 for this.
  21. I've got at least 3 heatshields from cars with L24 and SU carbs. 1 has an aftermarket header. You can have the heatshield if you want it. If you want the header (6-1, with a small rust hole on #1) for somthing to start with, you can have it for really cheap.
  22. I'm guessing because it was originally a 200sx (but with 1.8liter or 3 liter), and now it has a SBF (5.0 liter) Looks like a cool project, keep us posted.
  23. the only thing the 5 blade relays have is an 87a that is optional to use. what it does is when the 86-85 circuit is completed the relay switches from 87a to 87.
