Conecrusher
Hi guys, Which option do you think I should go with. The stock clear headlight lense or the yellow filter lense? The bulb will be changed to a LED h4 bulb. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. See attach pics
Miles
That is like your wife asking "does this yellow dress make me look fat?" It does , but you can't say it.
LanceVance
I actually kind if like the yellow, but then again I am a Subaru owner... Reminds me if the BRZ GT300 car:
McDoogle
keep the white headlights and get yellow foglights. I like the look of the yellow lights when im driving late at night but i think the white lights look cleaner. Or yellow brights if thats possible Edited June 30, 2015 by McDoogle

seattlejester
Yellow headlights at night is pretty poor. Looks cool, but the lighting is terrible. If you don't do a lot of night driving it does make the car stand out a bit. Are LED bulbs up to par now? I have some foglight that have an LED bulb in them, and their light output is mediocre at best.
rturbo 930
Looks - Yellow Function - Clear
1969honda
^^I agree with rturbo, the yellow does pop quite nice with that blue.
dmoralesbello
Classic look of the white is unbeatable and if you're going to LEDs (which I'm about to do as well) you will loose the "cool white" effect if you stick them behind yellow lenses. socorob
Did Datsuns imported into France back in the day come with yellow lights? They seemed to like yellow lights over there.
psdenno
The yellow lenses do add a "look at me" factor to the Z. But, if they cut brightness at night, you're probably better off with the clear.
Randomcow
I would also check local laws, I had yellow headlights on my old 240sx and was pulled over as a result. Might not be an issue up north though.
veritech-z
Pretty sure yellow lights are used by certain endurance classes so you can tell the GT spec (slower) cars from a prototype car in the night as they come up behind you.
veritech-z
Looks like France required yellow lamps until 93. Learn something new every day: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selective_yellow
Tony D
CA specifically states headlights must be whit, blue-white, or yellow. Then again, they still allow Acetylene Lamps that cast a beam 200' to the front of the vehicle...
JMortensen
Yellow is good if you (or people coming the other way) have eyes sensitive to glare.
johnc
Yellow if you're slow, white if you're fast.
Jay Gadsby
I think the yellow looks good with the blue of the car. just my opinion.
