  1. I agree, make it expensive, raise the age limit, make it harder to get and do a re-test every 25 years...
  2. Their was a guy selling an l28 to sbc trans kit a few months ago.
  3. Lol, I completely forgot about that test, having to patch up a couple inches on the bottom sure beats trying to make one yourself though.
  4. If you don't cut the kia weatherstripping then you should have plenty to do a 2+2.
  5. Scratch resistant lexan. It's kinda hard finding just the glass since it's very hard to remove without breaking.
  6. Did you connect the fender vents to the engine bay? The problem with most street setups is that once the air enters the radiator and into the engine bay is has nowhere to go, but under the car which would create and area of low pressure (?) which would cause the high pressure air (?) going around the car to be sucked into the engine bay.
  7. You're best bet is to make an air box to the radiator, then make a air box to the fender wells or hood to vent the air after the radiator. Atleast that is my conclusion after all the reading I have been doing on it. You can also tilt the radiator forward a fair amount if you have clearance issues between the water pump pulley and the radiator.
  8. There are so many starter cross reference threads for the RB series both on here and on google it's not even funny.
  9. Shoulda lowered the board so you could install a disc drive where the original cartridge slot was and put two USB 2.0 ports where the controllers plug in.
  10. If you like the sound of a honda engine coming from your z, go for it! Seriously though, glass packs are not something that sounds good on any stock motor.
  11. The z32 racks have electronic assist and the cobalts have a electric steering column, other then those two I have no idea what elses uses electronics to help you steer.
  12. Starter going out? are the fuses all ok? is the wiring alright? is the ignition cylinder worn? have you done any sort of diagnosis or trouble shooting prior to asking?
  13. When you have everything hooked up do you get spark when you ground out the coil wire while cranking the car over? If spark is your only issue I would suggest checking over the wiring diagram and tracing wires and checking components.
  14. 4/87 for the stronger turbo stuff, everything below it will have the t5 and an open diff.
  15. Rivet it to the hood. What I do, is keep the front license plate in the car and whenever I get pulled over for it (has never happened in 6 years) just say you where on the way to a shop to have them make a bracket for it and install it. Or play the "it never came with one from factory and there is no place to mount one, nor does anyone make one" game. I would keep it in the car and wait until they pull you over before doing anything.
  16. Check the reaction disk sticky, bleed the clutch hydraulics, find the drain in the electrical system, which door locks are you talking about? if it's the outside ones, just go to the junkyard.
  17. Something you could do, that doesn't involve painting a ice capped mountain on your door, would be to fallow the cherry blossoms on vines and keep the birds. Use the cherry blossoms on vines as accents and add some visual stuff like, making it look like the vines are growing out of a rust hole in the rocker...etc Let the shape and colour of the car be the main feature and use the accents to well, accent the cars natural lines.
  18. There is no need to over complicate this, check the basics first. Make sure the bulbs aren't burnt out, check the wiring/grounds at the lights, check for voltage at the switch, check the fuse....etc
  19. If you have the money I would highly recommend converting to the z31 ECU with nistune, or go wolf.
  20. Contact racer98 on here, he owns a couple skylines and is very good at sourcing hard to find parts in japan.
