  1. Hey that's where i'm trying to transfer, Or Pomona. What year are you? i dindt know there were hybrid zer's at Cal Poly SLO
  2. Congrats! whats your major? is it SDSU or UCSD that has a 70% female population w/ std's? either of which, party hard and be SAFE, lol.
  3. aww man! It would have been better if it really lauched her into a body of water or somthing.
  4. i'm Happy to say I drive my old heap anytime, anywhere. Reliability + good mpg + modern performance in a Z = happy college student.
  5. I wouldnt take a drag radial to track day or auto X. My last track day I ran Kumho Ecsta V710 's in the front, which are sort of ike semi slicks, and Falken Azenis RT-615 's in the rear. Either which config, I didnt have any problems with grip. So for street use and occational track use i'd really recomend the 615 or Yoko AVS ES-100.
  6. Hey! I have a rusty hood! I don't know if you can compare the two... but man that's whorable
  7. Interesting..... But IMO I think it needs big boxy rear fenders
  8. Nice car. Any dyno numbers, or sound clips? I used to run a long intake like that. IMO I lost a TON of throttle response as air already has to travel a long way into the intake manifold.
  9. You basically posted my emails, lol. woo hoo, I paid 1500 for my swap!
  10. Wow, I had the same problem with the exact same tire. Is that a ST-115? I dont know if it's just that Falken tire, or all Falken tires..... But this is really changing the way I feel about the name Falken.
  11. This is all about a drag race? Drama......
  12. are you sure its fuel cut or just misfiring? clogged fuel filter, blockage in fuel line? unless your hitting rev limiter or reaching the speed governer, the ecu shouldnt be cuting fuel.
  13. I think it's bad news because you probably live in an area where cops see's alot of engine swaps. I'd be really careful if you have cops that know a few nissan engine codes. But what a goone for mixing them up....
  14. you should be fine with 12 lbs. What is your FP set at? It's still unclear of what your problem is..? are you driving your car hard cold? you dont need any fancy electonics to run 12 lbs.
  15. Hey thats looking good OTM. I'm jealous, I want powder coated parts too!
  16. Hey Thanks, But Mario is right though. With my setup you hear the engine more than an L series which contributes to the sound. However, when I ran my L28 I had the same exhuast setup and to be honest with you I like the exhaust note better with the L28 w/ SU's better than the RB. Not only me though, but alot of my friends and family ( who are also into cars) will agree that the L sounded better. I really recomend the Borla pro XS. It's moderate in terms of loudness, but if I could decribe it I would say it brings out the exhaust note at all differnt rpm's. Borla's been around for a while and they make nice stuff, the pro xs is a nice stainless peice and it's not something to tuck and hide. I learned the hard way and bought a cheapo muffer that broke and sounded like junk. You get what you pay for, so buy once, and be done with.
  17. I havnt checked the pricing because im not in the market to buy a car... But, I would check out the Lancer Evo. Given your restrictions, that's what I would choose. 1) it's an Evo (lots of race history into that car) 2) plenty of power in stock form w/ lots of aftermarket support 3) It's four wheel drive 4) Brembos X 4 corners 5) Great handling 6) it's got four doors! By the way, what will the car be used for?
  18. Thats crazy. I'm still tripping out on how both sides of the outer lip are polished?!
  19. Whoa, that looks like my friend's bass boat. I didnt know you could get creative with powder coating..... are the colors and styles infinate?
  20. Nice set you got there mike, your neighbors probably hate you as well. My brother plays, but a mess around from time to time. So what does 30 years or experience sound like? share the noise man!
  21. I recently talked to someone who had their car registed as a historical and he said that his registration and insurance became cheaper. I live in an area where police are itchy to pull over modded cars, that said I think it would be nice to drive past a cop in my car worry free knowing that I have plates that say " you cant touch me", well sort of, lol.
  22. I think he just flipped the outer rim by unbolting the center mesh
  23. It's time for me to renew my registration and I was thinking about getting some California historical vehicle plates instead of some custom plate. looks quite unique. I know the 240Z qulifies for the plate, but the thing that concerns me is that I guess the car is to be used for shows or events. The thing is my car is kind of my daily driver and im wondering if i'll get busted for just driving it for other purposes other than events. Can anyone with these plates give me some info? heres a link thats useful: http://www.portata.com/panteraadventure/historical_license_plates.htm
