  1. Perhaps they will implement it like the KERS system in F1. Push a button and get a nice jolt!
  2. How many people are you planning to pack in the car? Luggage? Load up a car with 3 or 4 people and their luggage, and I have found 4 bangers to struggle accelerating or going up hills, even city driving becomes much more sluggish. Might want to consider a 6 cylinder, just saying.
  3. And no helmet or fire suit!!!
  4. Looked like that guy was about to crash most of the time!!! WoW!!
  5. Now that is the best sounding Miata I have hear!!!
  6. Le Mans with Steve McQueen and Grand Prix with heck, a whole cast of F1 drivers!!! Old school, but dang, real race footage is as real as it gets!
  7. Ford GR1 V10, way more awesome than the Ford GT.
  8. That 2nd one is a steal, 900 dollars less!
  9. The clutch reminds me of the clutch basket on my Yamaha. Perhaps some sort of flex clutch plate?
  10. OOOHHHHH !!!!! I wasn't aware that it was legal to put such images onto the internet . . .
  11. Haven't seen FnF4 yet, but I did see a truly great car movie - Le Mans with Steve McQueen. Heck, they entered a car equipped with loads of cameras into the '70 Le Mans!!!! Porsche and Ferrari duking it out, what could be better? Plus, you catch a 'Vette in some of scenes.
  12. Very slick looking build there!! What SC is that? M62, M90? How much boost are you planning on? That EFI system is top notch, but I did not see any alky system or an air to water intercooler.
  13. Looks like it is a pretty tall motor, with the intake being routed over the engine. Any idea on the engine bellhousing?
  14. Very good! Working in retail, well, it seems so familiar. Endless cycles of junk upon more junk . . .
  15. Are you serious???? Wow, another reason to avoid EBay.
  16. Could be the effect of a wide angle lens at a close range.
  17. Did you get a good enough deal to deal with the hassle? The 'Vette is unique in Japan, and pretty common in the US, could you just sell the one you have now and buy one stateside?
  18. Wow. I really do need to make sure my future isn't tied to closely to California.
  19. Yah, so in a few years there will be more alternatives in the used RWD sports coupe market. And more swap possibilities for us
  20. If they offer the 2.0T with the Track performance parts, but without the extra 3 grand in luxury items, that could become a very good performance bargain. Will be interesting to see how the transmission and rear end take serious power. Doubt that many enthusiasts will keep much stock on the turbo cars.

    z31 swap

How would a SR handle daily, in town driving in a Z31? Would it be enough to move the beast quickly enough, without getting into the boost? How would a KA-T fit into this debate? If I understand correctly, they produce more torque than a SR, and they are everywhere in junkyards.
  22. Call me crazy, but I would REALLY like to see IRL have a diverse engine selection. Have manufacturers base their engines off of a street motor, or at least claim to. Allow for V8, I4 turbo, or any mixture, with different displacement and boost limitations. A spec chassis would be ok, perhaps a few different ones, but not as numerous as in F1. Ah, to dream. Anyhow, here's to me getting some people to go down to Infineon this August. Would totally be worth the money!
