  1. While that photo is misleading those things are still quite large and in charge. I certainly wouldnt want to be surprised by one. check out this link on snopes http://www.snopes.com/photos/bugs/camelspider.asp
  2. It's looking really good, come on now just imagine how good it will feel to finally start her up...and actually get to drive it!!!! If it makes you feel any better my car is still in pieces after 3.5 years. I have just about ever part I need but have not been able to touch it because of school and some personal issues. for the last 8 months its been about 10 days of solid labor away from being a running and driving car...so close i can taste it! I really hope you are able to find some time and energy to work on her and hopefully finish very soon, your car was an inspiration to me when I was first building mine...
  3. what is it with swedes and their crazy machines?!!! They always seem to make the sickest stuff over there!
  4. yup, something told me that "Alabama" billboard was photoshopped in and I was right. the bike is actually in Germany, here is another picture of it. Powered by a Honda engine http://ratbike.org/gallery/germany_2005/not_olledaums_woodenbike
  5. ummm, I've seen this picture before and if im not mistaken this bike is actually in Europe somewhere...
  6. I've always liked the tuscan and sagaris, but the others are just too busy and british for me.... how about a Spyker?
  7. your norfolk pine looks a lot better then mine.....its so full and short. mine is just tall and scraggly hey your car is coming along nicely too!
  8. thats actually really really cool. I cant say thats my favorite chassis, but the swap sounds really fun. I would leave it all rusty and spend all my time and money on the drivetrain, I would also find some super wide steel wheels like that ones that are on there to really give it that total POS sleeper look. man that looks like fun!

just build a locost 7. the newer chassis are using miatas as donor cars. http://www.domsat.co.uk/pages/locost.htm http://locost7.info/locost.php http://locostusa.com/ http://www.rhinobuggies.com.au/the_locost.htm http://www.grmotorsports.com/archives/locost.html I figure that as soon as things start to settle down in my life and I plant myself down on a patch of earth I will start building a miata suspension based 7 using a hayabusa engine (or the V8 version should funds allow) even a renisis powered 7 would be super fun.
  10. Im sorry that I cannot give you any technical information. I do know though that it has been done before.
  11. Congratulations David, thats an incredibly beautiful Z you have there, first class car for first place in peoples choice. well done.
  12. if you really really really want a reliable daily driver, Throw in an L28, get a set of nice rebuilt SUs and run the ZX electronic dizzy conversion. My 240Z was a daily driver running the above combo before I went turbo and it was by far my most reliable car ever. too many trips to keep track of, Mexico, Port A, South Padre, Houston, Dallas, hill country romps, rallies and cruises. she was quick enough to be fun and zip around traffic, but not fast enough to win any races against modified cars.
  13. Nice! I've been checking out your build since you started the thread, its nice to see it come together so nicely. congratulations on having a beautiful ZX!
  14. very cool, thats a sharp looking 240Z, love the detail in the engine compartment!
  15. woh! how did I miss this? is it too late to get one?
  16. ah interesting....I will have to look into that. thanks for the info!
  17. Thanks Matt, I will send you a PM in a bit to discuss it. anybody else with a kit see any room for improvement?
  18. I also saw one the other day, but had no idea they were even making something like that! its really cool and would love to take a closer look at one.
  19. Hey everyone, I've been wanting to design some front brake hats for myself based off the old JSK front setup, and now I have the opp to turn it into a school project for my digital design class. I was wondering if anyone had the components off the car they might be willing to measure or send one out my way at my expense for a few days so I can pull all the measurements off of them. when I am done I will post all the CAD files in the download section and might even see about having some made at cost. also, for those that have that brake setup, is there anything you would want to improve on them?
  20. one night while driving my beater Honda I squarly hit a 6x6 chunk of lumber going around 80MPH....Launched my car into the air and destroyed both front wheels. scared the poo out of me....needless to say. I have yet to hit anything in the Z though thankfully...I've been lucky enough to be able to avoid all the road swarf I've encountered in her. so nimble!
