  1. Pm me i have one that i have taken apart that i am ordering a rebuild kit for. it should work ok for you.
  2. Saw it last night all i have to say is amazing. Yes the story was predictable but the cgi and the way i got brought into the story was amazing. The length of the movie didnt bother me except for the fact that i killed like 3 pepsi's at dinner and i had to take a bathroom break halfway through and i think i missed a really important part. but still amazing movie i want to go see it again while its still in theaters
  3. I know there is one guy on here that has it done. I know he did modify the rb cas to accept the 280zx cas internals. I dont think it was that hard to do.
  4. Do you know that the injector in cylinder number 4 is in good working order?? like maybe its not giving that cylinder enough fuel. But overall your wideband is reading correctly?
  5. Derek i think that price is very reasonable if not even cheap for how much work you have into the manifold. Like every one said. You where not secretive about the problems you had and shared the whole building process with us. I have a feeling your going to get those 3 orders sooner than later
  6. Yes it comes off. Should just come off with a prybar. Actually just did it a few hours on an engine im getting ready to put into my car.
  7. Ok well lets look at the name of the "fire ring" Its called that because it actually see's fire from the combustion. Do you have an over bore? If not then i doubt that it was actually in the combustion chamber. Im trying to find my camera and I cant to show you a picture of what happens when the detonation is contained in the combustion chamber by a MLS HG. But i can't so ill try later. But picture what happened to your HG but down the side of my piston taking all the rings and ring lands along with it. Ill try to find the picture. Also how much boost are you running and are you running ARP head studs?
  8. Looks like classic detonation to me. IF you had a Metal headgaske in there your pistons would of probably gone.
  9. Ah i was considering sellling my 4" one and making a new one but i doubt it will fit a 280zx
  10. I havent used vista jeff but on most parent controls there is an allow list that you can add programs or websites so it doesnt ask for the password and simply lets it run. Sorry im not much help
  11. I have a '73 240 with the same wheels and flares and have been shopping front valance's and am really interested in satin black for paint. Do you you have a photobucket or more pics that i can look at? You car looks sweeeet in your signature.

    Thanks Eric - DarthZ

  12. Hey was a guy named Greg working the Grassroots booth? Young guy about 26. If so he is a friend of mine and has helped me tons with my car back when i was in FL.
  13. I shopped around before i bought my supplies and i could of saved like maybe 75-100 bucks by shopping online, but the info that i got from my local paint supply store was worth 10 times that much. They pretty much walked me through the whole process. Granted i had done my research and new a little bit but My car wouldnt look nearly as good as it does if it wasnt for the guys at my local paint supply store. I would honestly go local and use what they say.
  14. Im going to say they flipped the negative for the article. And not some special part.
  15. 300 bucks for a soda blaser is chump change. When i lived in florida I worked for a powerwashing company and we where looking at a soda blaster to buy. One of our friends who was a repo agent had repoed one and we where looking at buying it if they guy didnt get the money to get it back. The cost taht we where going to pay was about 10k and that was just what he owed on it not what it was worth. it was worth way more. Now this was a all inclusive tow-able machine. Honestly i would of payed someone off the bat to get it stripped. I stripped the outside of my car when i repainted/repaired it 2 summers ago using only a 90deg grinder and scotch bright pad things and a wire wheel. I spend about 200 bucks on just the pads and wire wheels that i wore out. not to mention the 40-60 hours of worrk it took to get it done. I would of gladly paid someone 300-400 bucks to do it for me and of had it done completely perfect. And i could of been working while it was getting done( I took off work for a month to repaint my car) It just doesnt add up in my book,
  16. Hi There

Sorry to intrude but did you buy a diff a while back with a 3.3 ratio longnose. Are you gonna use it? Would you consider selling it.Having a bit of a hard time finding one. Got my diff in the kitchen ready for dissassembly but if you don't gotta mess with sumptin then why do it .Hoping for a solution up here in Gods country. Thanks in advance

  17. Hey guys those where actually custom made by his body man IIRC. I remember reading this when he was the ride of the month over at zcar. I believe he made molds for them also. Just contact the member on here. I cant remember his name but i think his current build is something like insane crazy 240z build.
  18. The parts guys might be looking up the seals for the r180. Tell them to get the seals for a 84-89 300zx z31 that way their is no way to get it mixed up.
  19. Ya your guys timing tables are very mild. I was running 19 on 23lbs of boost. on 93 octane.
  20. Its worth your money to buy something big enough to handle your power goals in the future. I ended up buying three clutches for my set up because i kept buying a heavy duty enough one to just handle what i was running currently. I finally just broke down and bought an act 6 puck with hd pp. well worth the money
  21. Ok. so you have this in your shop or at home?? If its in your shop how in the world do you ever get any work done??? lol or is this what your doing when your waiting on your cnc to do its job? lol awsome. How much is this program?
  22. When i get around to getting one this is the tail i want to get. Im not in the immediate market but i say that the supply would probably be there.
  23. You are very correct Zmanco. i prefer to use a ball hone so it doesnt take to much off.
