  1. I would suggest 36lbs injectors also just because you dont want to have to upgrade again later if you want more power. The price difference wont be much either. I bought a set of slightly used 36lbs injectors off of Ebay for $200 and sold my stock injectors for like $75. You should be able to find a deal similar to that if you look for it. I think 30lbs will be enough for your goal but 36lbs would be better so you your duty cycles wont be so high. Guy
  2. I will agree with 280zwitha383, try to find a complete car and swap out what you need. It will be much cheaper than piecing it together. All those little things really really add up! I would not even think about going with a 305, the TPI motor looks cool and has low end torque but it runs out of breath pretty quick. If you dont want EFI then find a carb'd 350. The LT1 fits the same as an old school SBC except there are no hood clearance issues like there can be with a carb'd 350. The LT1 EFI is very simple to work with and modifing a stock harness is a piece of cake if you ask me. Guy
  3. Go with an LT1... It fits great, uses MSA mounts(overpriced though), fits under the hood with no mods, and its EFI! If I would have had the money(about 3 years ago), I would have gone with an LS1 though! I would have had to make the mounts though, which really wouldnt be that hard. Guy
  4. Do you have any head work done or aftermarket heads? I thought you said you had ported heads but I dont remember for sure? I am really looking forward to seeing the dyno results. I may end up with this cam also. How much was it for the cam and springs? Guy
  5. I can see why he's picking the Skyline over the ZX! Guy
  6. Stage 3 SRT's are only putting down about 300-320hp on a good day in "hi octane mod" I have a buddy who has a T3/04(.50 trim) on his and he's putting down 375hp/370tq(on a superflow dyno). The car is pretty fast for a Neon thats for sure. Him and my service writer, who owns a 03' 350Z with a T3/04(.60 trim) which put down 383HP/380TQ, raced from a roll and the Z took about a car length on the SRT. From a stop the Z beat it even worst due to the traction issues with the FWD! The 350Z runs a 12.9 @ 113mph (2.1sec 60'). So 9 out of 10 SRT's shouldn't give you any trouble. Just sounds like you need to upgrade the HP in that car! Guy
  7. I like the diesel idea! Or maybe some water! If the thieves are smart though they will smell the diesel Myth Busters did the sugar in a gas tank and they showed that the sugar is too heavy and actually doesn't do anything but sit at the bottom of the tank.... Guy
  8. Wow that was totally worth reading! Best part was that one of the other members quoted all of his posts so that he can't go back and change them later! Guy
  9. I didn't think Tuner Cat even offered any OBDII LT1 software? Guy
  10. Just remember a 96' is OBDII so you would want to get a 1995 harness and PCM so that can tune it with TUNER CAT software. That's why most people want the 94-95' LT1's. Guy
  11. I agree, I really doubt you did any perminent damage. When I first got my eninge running I did pretty much the same thing because my fan didnt kick on. My temp got up to about 225-230 before I shut it down. I have not seen any symptoms of any sort of damage. A buddy of mine who races oval dirt track see's those temps pretty often and his motor is still running strong. I wouldn't loose sleep over it! Guy

I know what you guys mean. I have been doing body work for a YEAR! I really hate body work so that definitely has something to do with it! I was sanding down my spoiler that I got from MSA for like an hour the other night and it still doesn't fit very good! I know fiberglass parts don't always fit right but its not even close! Oh well, I guess if I want it done right I will continue to sand it down so that it fits right. I need some vidoe's of Darius's car! Guy
  13. The CVT that is the Murano has had ZERO issues. The Murano also has the 3.5L engine so obvioulsy the power isn't too much for it. Maybe the GM CVT's are just crap? Guy
  14. If you can afford the Infinity M45 buy it! We have one that comes into our dealership for service(nissan) and man what a car! The thing is nice on the inside and the outside......"ultra pimped"! LOL. If you what a Maxima, get a 2007 with the CVT. That car is fun to drive. The tranny is very smooth and when you floor it it just holds at like 5000 RPMS all the way up to 80mph+!(and it gets there pretty quick). Guy
  15. I don't think it has a V6.... We had one of these at our dealership, man what a car! The sound that comes out of those dual tips is unreal! It just doesn't look like a car that should have a rumble like that! I beleive it readlines at 8900 RPMS.....BONE STOCK!!
  16. DITTO! Must be nice to have a wife that buys you tools! My GF hates it when I spend money on tools! You should have seen it when I dropped $2k on an air compressor! Guy
  17. $650 for a full body kit is a pretty darn good price for a new kit! I wish there would have been some interest in this for the 280ZX's when I bought my MSA kit. Granted the kit is ok, I would have liked something more like the MSA 3 kitfor the GEN 1's. If this does go through I would love to see some pics of the new design! Guy
  18. Are you talking about the dowl sticking out of the cam? If so, I think you can just tap it in further. I think I remember reading about what the correct depth should be when installing a not factory cam(don't remember where though?). So I would think that installing it a little deeper into the cam would be perfectly safe. Guy
  19. So having a reliable 300HP car that parts are cheap for is a waste? Plus you get the "wow factor" when you pop the hood! Guy
  20. I think I will do just that tommorow! I'll see what they can do for me first though. I wouldn't mind some free parts or some cash back. Guy
  21. I agree with Austin, if I had a big SUV and $15K laying around I would buy'em! Of course I would have to quit my job fixing cars to be a pimp! Guy
  22. Wow I didn't think this was a common issue! It does sound like a nut rolling around in there. I won't mount it on the car with it in it though, it'll drive me nuts! Guy
  23. Hey guys I just got my spoiler from MSA on Wednesday and there seems to be an issue....there is something inside of it rolling around! Its just one of the lip spoilers for the hatch. When I tilt it back and forth you can hear something rolling around inside of it. So either I'm going to have to send it back or I'm going to have to drill a hole in the bottom of it and get the piece out! It really isn't a huge deal to get the piece out but I'm a little annoyed that I have to do this after paying $175 for it! Do you guys think I should call MSA and try to get some money back on it or some free stuff? Guy
  24. Yeah just find an old junker snowmobile with like a 340cc engine. I had a 72' Arctic Cat Panther that would have been perfect for this type of project! It would do 50mph in the sled so I would guess it would have gone like 70mph in a something much lighter! I think I paid like $150 for it and it ran! Guy
