  1. I installed vintage air in my 280 and it keeps the car cold. It does require some fitting and dash In and out of the car a few times and fabricating brackets. My friend just ordered one from a seller on ebay in texas that makes a kit specifically for the Z. He hasn't installed it yet, but the pieces look good. I believe the only thing on that kit you have to figure out for yourself is mounting the controls while on the vintage air you have to figure it all out
  2. Yep, next thing they will only come out from under the covers to go be parked in a parking lot and feather dusted by dbags wearing datsun shoes with matching datsun shirts and jackets. These were meant to be drivers cars, hence the reliability. Get one of those delicate cars like an etype and lock it away. Let the Z be free!
  3. I got my strut bar in before my next track event happens. Hope this adds a little more stiffness. If not, it sure is a good looking piece. How much if any preload should be put on these things?
  4. i have the TTT setup and I didn't have to press anything in, neither did my friend on his. What part are you talking about that needs pressing?
  5. I guess it's only a matter of time before investors ruin the Z car market. Lock all Z's away in a garage under a cover so they won't lose any value!
  6. I'm sure it won't be watertight. Plus I try not to drive my car in the rain. The 200tw tires get slippery.
  7. I'm glad people are posting this lately. I just bought a piece of aluminum and may be attempting this over the weekend, if I get the time.
  8. Do a Google image search for caterham seats. There's several made for them thst "look" like they would be narrow enough for a Z.
  9. I got mine at lowes, but they were like these, with the locking snap hooks on the end for about the same price as harbor freight. http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/smartstraps-8-ft-l-yellow-ratchet-x-with-snap-hooks-3-333-lb-safe-work-load?cm_vc=-10005
  10. I use short axle straps through the wheels with as short ratcheting straps as I could get, because I run out of space quickly also. I don't have a choice but to crisscross because its too short if i tried to go straight.
  11. Put a little anti seize on it before you put it back together.
  12. Isn't it possible to get a standard t56 rebuilt using the magnum internals?
  13. As long as it's not close I can see just fine.
  14. I think the 04 GTOs came with rhe LS6 intake too.
  15. When you get them see if any numbers are stamped on to them.
  16. I saw an early 240 rack and it seemed different than my 280 rack, so I assumed that it was different.
  17. can anyone point me in the direction of 280 ones? If you call them to order ask them if they do ones for the 280.
  18. Ask Gabe from TTT. I found that place mentioned in his ad for his outer tie rod ends.
  19. This place shows 240 ones on their website, but not sure how old this site is. http://shop.rareparts.com/smtp/shopdisplaycategories.asp?iyear=1972&imake=0041|NISSAN&imodel=1008|240Z&iproduct=0049|STEERING,%20GEAR,%20PUMP%20&%20COMPONENTS
  20. maybe you could bolt brackets to the underside of the bolts that hold the flares on to screw the inner fender to for support.
  21. I have 4.1 degrees caster with no binding and the bolts came out with no jamming. I just took them out about a month ago when I swapped springs from front to back. As I add more caster, I also have to add more length to the lca to keep camber, so that may be whats keeping mine from jamming? I'm not trying to says its a great design or a bad design, just saying it seems to work with my setup at this point without issue. Is that why these other arms he makes have forward heims also? https://technotoytuning.com/nissan/240z/gtx2-front-lower-control-arms-and-tc-rods-datsun-240z-260z-and-280z
