  1. Hey man, sorry I never made it there. Let me know when you're back in town and I'll come take a look. Joe
  2. Sounds like 200 people that are afraid to be banned Joe
  3. Mark, I've been looking to do the same thing with floating 13 inchers but was looking at 170-7038 hats. They are 2" offset and wouldn't require redrilling. Are you working with Dave to tweak the caliper brackets? Maybe tweak them to relocate the caliper to make up for the .12 difference in hat offset would work? I have MM billet 5 lug hubs and I'm not sure if there is an offset difference between them and the AZC pieces. If at all possible I'd like to have the caliper positioned to use an off the shelf hat and rotor. Modifying the caliper mount seems to be the likely way to go. What do you think? Joe
  4. Either a bad ground or faulty CAS would be my guess. I'd swap the CAS with the car that runs to rule that out then start checking grounds. Joe
  5. David, Did the stops wear down like Clive's stops? Maybe they just wore down too far? Joe That's what happens when work gets in between reading a post and writing a response
  6. Best idle or lowest idle? Last time I worked on a set of triples that had an exceptionally high idle had bent throttle shafts. Pretty easy to diagnose, just put a flow meter on both barrels of one carb. If they are way different you have bent shafts. Obviously there are other internal engine problems that could cause this but if you are sure it's a carb issue, this is what I would look for. Joe
  7. 75-76 are different from 77-78 and are not interchangeable. You might want to specify what you need. From your sig it looks like you are looking for a 75-76 but want to be sure. Joe
  8. Hi Glenn, No DexCool in Dale's motor and she's still going strong after 11k. Joe
  9. What happens if you drop the idle down to say 900? Still smooth? What is side gapping? Indexing? Joe
  10. I guess it depends on where in Tx the car lived it's life. My Ls car spent it's life in Tx and had zero rust on it until it left for the east coast. There is a cost to having a car live in such a dry place and that is the sun beats the crap out of all rubber and interior pieces. My dash was nonexistent, all of the weatherstripping was cracked with sections missing and the carpet was bleached tan! That said, I'll take it that way over rust anyday Joe
  11. Stop on over now. Clive's car is out in the street in front of the house!
  12. Paramus?! Too close man. Sounds like we might have to do 2 SR20's, one in your car and one in my 260 (red car in the avatar) which needs an updated powerplant. You have to stop by someday to hang in the garage. Evilz's car has been taking up residence at my place for the last few months. Good luck with the car. Can't wait to see it. Don't be surprised if we start trying to convince you to go LSx Joe
  13. Oh no!!!! I want my garage back! J/k man. It's not so bad since the EvilZ now runs. Pushing it outside every night so I could get the dd back in the garage was getting tiresome.
  14. So last night I get home from work very late and park the dd in my normal spot outside the garage since Clive's car has been here. I look at the thread and get all excited when I see the picture that the car actually drove to the Bronx! I have been working from home today and while on a conference call I hear Clive's car start. WTF? Look out the window and see him pulling it of a trailerand putting it back in the garage!! Seems the car has now become a trailer queen! The first paragraph might be a little fuzzy but it sounds better than the truth of which I am sure Clive will correct:) Joe
  15. 1tuffZ on here sells them every once in a while. Try contacting him. Joe
  16. Thursday? You p.....ansie! It should have been out today Joe
  17. A gnx??!?!? And I am using upper case but something keeps changing it to lower case.
  18. My 71, 74 and 78 all have the pin you speak of JT. Joe
  19. Amazing what happens when you turn the mounts over the correct way!
  20. Mark, spill it! does the steering shaft clear the JCI mount which I am hoping you are using? Danno, Link me to Dale's old post. I have his car now and can help you understand what is on the car now. Actually, I have just installed the JCI AC compressor mounting kit and was having a little problem with alignment but the belt fits fine. Joe
