  1. I searched ebay nothing. Called two places nothing. Maybe I am search engine stupid. The a4's came up on ebay. So figure something else is fine too. The a4 looks really good. I know of those, just wanted to be cheap if there is a better deal to be had.
  2. 23.813mm = .9575 = 15/16 24mm = .9449 Make a flat board U shape template showing your offset and diameter. Hold that jig around the radius center of the axel against the drum datum, checking for clearance of rotation at ride height.

    Z sketch

Looks good but I ditch the hood scoop. More Z long front
  4. Ok I have searched here... there and just about everywhere. Looking for street style racing seats for the Z. The DAD style are just about unavailable. Nobody seems to have them. So something along those lines black under $500 a pair reclinable with universal sliders would be great. See pic. Thanks everyone.
  5. Oh man that looks so sweet! Great Job!
  6. Killer GOaT! (GTO) Very impressive work!
  7. What about the PDK fiberglass dash? http://www.pdkfabrication.bravepages.com/Dash.htm
  8. True Story. Almost hit a deer last night in the Z. A large buck. Scarey close only feet away going like 60 mph. Only had just enough time to quickly steer around him. A flick of the wheel. It was bad.... When I got home I checked for scrathes down the side of my car, it was that close. No more rural driving at night that's for sure. The winters in this state have been so mild the past 7-8 years the deer population is becoming out of hand. Think I'll store my car for the winter and count my blessings.
  9. I'd go with a small cap mulitple spark discharge if you have the extra bling. To me the headache of messing around with old worn out ignitions is not worth it. http://www.msdignition.com/dist_9.htm
  10. The rear fiberglass BRE one from MSA I used. It was Very rough and took and a ton of mods to fit and mount properly. Far from just bolt on as they clamied. Just thought you should know.
  11. Vapor Lock? Are all your fuel lines away from hot exhaust pipes etc? Maybe 15 mins is too early for this condition but anything is possible.
  12. Strip everything of the body. Sand blast backsides. Weld er up and giver por. Sounds easy enough.
  13. My windows are all very illegal tinted. Car was in Florida originally where I would imagine the tint grade was legal there. It does vary from state to state. The rear, all sides and even the windshield has a has a 5 inch strip along the top. Have not been busted yet though I usually have the windows rolled down anyways. Unless the passenger is burning something...hehe Add to that race flowmaster mufflers which sound cool but are too loud and no front license plate. Its a matter of time before I go down hard. As far cages I dont know the laws or insurance issues. Why push it then. For the street a back half would seem more reasonable. I have weighed this full cage idea many times. If you are not racing why have one. After all for the street it's just extra weight. Full cage looks WAY cool. Hitting your head evertime you get in and out of the car not cool. Roll bar padding still hurts. Loosing leg room not good too. Z cars have a tremendous amount of leg room to the pedals. A reason why they sold so well taller drivers could be comfortable in them. Something about smoking the competion with your head in the rear side window is way stealth.
  14. I'm using a Performer RPM intake. Holley 4150 625cfm carb. No carb spacers. 14 inch typical drop base 2.625 tall K&N filter. About 1 inch of clearance to inside of hood at hold down wing nut. All depends how your engine is mounted. Use clay and close the hood checking the distance available works the best.
  15. Don't know whose Z that is. Nice car, I really like that blower! Would you have to notch the frame rail for that to work?
  16. I have the Weir kit with a 1969 327 and 1997 camaro T-56. The kit does use a custom sand cast alum bellhousing as an adapter so to speak. The T-56 is then installed with no modifications. As far as shifter locations I have no idea. My car is an old scarab. If anything it was moved to the rear of the car a bit. I bet it would not line up. Crossmember you will probably end up building your own.... By the time you plot the driveline angles depending on your rear end mounting, motor mounts and car variations etc. Wier kit with 1" master cylinder $659.00 The clutch used is a Zoom diaphram type purchased from Summit Racing part number - ZZZ-30005S $199.99 Aluminum standard SBC RAM flywheel part number- RAM-2501. $359.69 You could just use an old standard flywheel too. Pilot bushing non roller type...from NAPA part number-Balkamp 651-1029. $15 Wier told me a smaller bore stock m/c won't move enough fluid. Everything works really good and the quality is worth the cost.
  17. Maybe your motor is jetted too rich???
  18. You could go even cheaper. Find a good used stock 350 ready to drop in with stock smog stuff intact if you have to pass those pathetic inspections. Better torque for street use too. Then save your money for something more later.
