Whenever you have a misfire the air/fuel ratios go rich on all measuring devices (Lambda sensor, AFM sniffer, etc.) The fuel in the misfiring cylinder is not burned. You have to cure any misfire before tuning via any air/fuel mixture measuring tool. One tip, if you're data logging you can look at AF just before the misfire occurs to help diagnose the problem.

The differences in spoilers and wings between drag and road racing has more to do with the rules for each sanctioning body then anything else.

A manual typewriter will always produce a printed document faster the a computer/printer combination because it combines the typing and printing processes in one step. In a computer/printer combination those steps are separate. The Theres the infamous "PC LOAD LETTER" error. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5QQdNbvSGok

There have been a lot of truly epic Z builds over the decades. A lot of them are on this site.

No, he needs them from a 280z.

Manual typewriter is faster, assuming no typing mistakes.

Sorry,I missed the previous link.

I noticed it years ago and it only affects cars lowered about 2.5" or more. And the effect is not noticeable to most folks. I becomes an issue when auto crossing, road racing, or drag racing. The driver's side halfshaft will bottom causing a bind. This increases spring rate on that side of the car dramatically. This has been discussed many times over the years here and I even did a writeup with pics and measurements. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10151884802416671&id=143989191670

Fluids do compress. That tiny amount of compression is HUGE compared to the speed of electricity/light.

You can take the threaded buttons out of your 240z r180 and put then in your 720 R180 and use the bolt in side axles. There are a couple posts here that discuss that.

I sold CF and glass hoods and hatches for the S30 and S130 for 10 years. There's a small market that can be a bit bigger if you're willing to under price MSA and your other competitors. That will keep the margin thin (25% gross) and you'll need to sell 10 to 15 parts to recover your tooling costs - if you build real production molds. If you build cheap molds like most of these folks do you quality will suffer and after about 10 parts you will have to replace the molds or sell junk and ignore the complaints. The biggest issue I found was shipping costs. These are large items and are charged by volume not weight. So a 5 lb. CF hood in a cardboard box was charged as if it weighed 165 lbs. because of the volume. 50% of my sale were outside the USA.

Your builder can probably source them for less. If you can find some steel tubing with the correct ID/OD and height you can cut them yourself.

Any competent diff shop can set it up. If your ring gear used the 10mm bolts then you must use bushings to make up the difference between the 10mm OD of the bolt and the 12mm ID of the holes on the OSG Superlock flange. If a diff shop is telling you the bushings are not needed they are being lazy or cheap. These are then exact bushings in Alain's diff. http://asbbearingsonline.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=86&products_id=3449 Note: I posted the wrong link a minute ago. Correct link above (10mm ID, 12mmOD, 10mm height).

I wouldn't even call that "experience" with a product. And no, I've not had any direct experience with Stance, BC, KSport, Megan, etc. almost all of my road racing experience has been with SCCA and NASA and up through 2010 you just didn't see these manufactures on the podium. I've made recommendations above.

I don't know. it was a competitor's car and he was having issues with too much compression damping. The car was skatey and chattered under braking. I asked him about it and he said that's what Stance recommended for his 240SX. I suggested he dial down the compression damping and he said I should worry about my own setup.
-
Yes, I deleted some stupid comments I was making at 5:30am. And I have seen the Stance stuff in action on a road race track and its no better or worse then out of the box Bilstiens or Tokico HTS shocks. Not as good as Koni 8610s or 8611s. With some development time I'm sure it can get up to where the 8610s and 8611s are. If you want to characterize my opinions as negative, fine. I have no dog in this fight, just trying to answer your original questions.

Transmission crossmember frame nut possibly crossthreaded?
johnc replied to Stunt's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Remove the bolt, buy a new one, and run a tap though the threaded nut in the chassis. -
I've offered to test Stance, Megan, KSport, etc. for customers who want me to recommend them. Just send me four shocks and pay for my time and shock dyno rental time and you'll get a 8 page report with dyno graphs. It will cost about $1,900 plus your cost of the shocks and related shipping, No one has ever stepped up. And the manufactures said, "Not interested" when contacted.
