  1. Thanks for your help. I also sent some emails to brake parts sellers in Australia.
  2. OK, took me a day or so, but here are the pics. Thanks for all your help.
  3. I need to replace the pads on my Z. It has Holden calipers on the rear with pads with the following number stamped on one of the pads: B74608. I am not sure if it is a part number or lot #. I have searched many Australian car sites and can't find it. I know it was for a Holden. The part was put on around 1996, but I don't know what model Holden it may have came from. Anybody down under have any ideas? They are made by Girlock.
  4. Why is this poll even allowed? The disclaimer is pretty clear that this really has nothing to do with our hobby/passion.
  5. Everything is original Tom Wyatt, III. The only thing that will not come with the Electromotive kit is the timing wheel for the crank trigger as it will still on the car. The turbo will rebuilt by Turbonetics and they added a water cooled jacket. About 2.5K miles on that build. Back in '96 it was leading edge stuff and ran hard and quick. I am told by Electromotive that this kit is still selling on places like ebay for $500 but I haven't seen it. Anyway I'll let it go for $750.00 plus shipping. Shipping probably less then $50. Includes: intake w/carb, downpipe (3") w/rebuilt wastegate, turbo, Electromotive ignition w/o timing wheel, water injection, Moroso air cleaner. I don't think I missed anything.
  6. I have a complete kit, but no wiring diagram. Has water injection & electronic ignition & TT modified Holley carb. Had Tom install in '96. Great guy.
  7. Get referrals for attorneys and get the best one you can afford or not! This crap is never about what is in the best interest of he kid. It is about my attorney is better than yours. Good Luck. It is never over.
  8. I have a cut key, if that helps, for the cost of postage.
  9. O'Reilly's auto part $75.99. Just try an auto parts. O'Reilly is big in Houston but just try any auto part. Found this search using my office zip 77032, for a '72 240Z. http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/ProductDetail.do?id=337172909&line=TPR&itemNumber=399378&categoryIndex=0&didSearchFor=Heater+Core&vehicle=1972NISSAN240Z6-2393%202.4L&bid=1233459029807&cycleCount=978&currentPage=0
  10. "Mine had a chain too, but whenever I went to a "We Serve" gas station," Were do find a "We Serve" station?! I'll left the cap on the back of window.
  11. Depends on your tax bracket. If you self-employed and get a 1099 at the end of yr instead of a W-2. You can have a 401K but why? (You can't do a personal 401K) The cost is high and the 5500 form at the end of yr is quite frankly a bitch not to mention also expensive.(Few people can do this form themselves) Check with some one like Vanguard and find the best option for you. There Simplified IRA and others that allow you and your wife to put away alot of money. Last time I ck'ed I think the max was like 15K for each of you. Or, you and the wife form a company (probably an LLC) and as long as it is just you and the wife you can really do a great retirement. I envy you because you have a great situation as long as it last. ie: The Obama folks would like everyone to be dependent on the government because they are smarter than you and therefore know better. Also, Forbes sells a book about investing and again people like Vanguard also have informative broshures. Also, do not wait until the end of the yr to pay your taxes. You'll hate yourself when you are hit with penalty and interest. 1040ES is the form you need to fill out with an estimate. Make sure that you are a contractor and not an employee. It will make all the difference. I am the administrator for the company 401K.
  12. Wait until you get it back. Bad things happens to nice cars at the storage lots. Good Luck!
  13. Actually, Galveston is sinking at 1"/yr. If it is above sea level it ain't by much. As I recall there was only 1 house on Crystal Beach left standing only because it was build to new standards. If any good is to come from this, it is the rebuilding effort that will meet new code. Other than the Tourist trade and UTMB they really don't have much and hardly any one that has money lives on the island. Maybe this will spur new residents. I wish them all the luck.
  14. '60 Falcon, no a/c, no radio, torn headliner. $500 cash in '65. It was POS but it got me thru high school and part of college. I had a wreck in it too, bad tires, rain and a freeway concrete divider. Boy, there are some old guys on this thread.
  15. Find yourself a Turbo Tom Kit. Custom intake/exhaust.
  16. It may scratch easy, but it will stop a bullet. In case of road rage, of course.
  17. My daughter and I had Lasik performed over 5 yrs ago. Hers is still great. I have some acuity loss but it is hell lot better than glasses. I went on call for the business that night and drove myself back to the office. I think I screwed up but I was feeling fine. Wish I had it something similarly done 5 yrs before that. To me, it was well worth the money. My advice is to have it done. If you have a flexible spending plan, start funding it for next better procedure.
  18. It is the stores' fault for allowing this to happen anyway. They should had plenty of security for this. It happens somewhere every year. You can bet the lawyers are circling above and the Walmart lawers are going to look for settlement.
  19. I was told by several on-line sellers that the Walbro pumps carried no warranties, so I wonder about Summit, since they are a major seller. Good luck returning it.
  20. Years ago, when I installed somebody's lowering springs, I recall that I cut the rubber biscuits from the bottom about 1". But they were substantially lower and shook my kidney srom their perches. Turbo Tom took them off and said they were not correct and installed his own set. That was about 12 yrs ago. After Tom's installation, people said it looked like a frog ready to jump. (It is a kelly green color)
  21. Can donating members get a email, etc when time for donation?
  22. I have had my motor worked on by several "Z Mechanics" in the Houston area. No one that currently advertises as a Z experts, either with the club or otherwise, will do a very good job. PM slow_old_car for info.
