  1. i'm lookin for some fuel pump relays...one to run the walbro for the rail...and the other for a low pressure pump for the surge tank. i've seen the kits through summit...and they have the heavier gauge wire that i'm lookin for...they run about $30 a piece...i was just wondering if there is anything out there that will use a heavier gauge wire for the pump...and possibly save some money. the universal relays i've found look to be designed for a 18-20 gauge wire...i'm gonna run something a little thicker on the fuel pumps.
  2. i have an 08 legacy gt...super thin metal...i have to be really careful. above the body line..if i press too hard with my thumb i can leave a dent. i had a deer run into the side of my car...left a long crease and i couldn't open my door cause it pressed the front fender in enought the door hit. if it had hit the z i guarantee you wouldn't have been able to tell...cars arent made like they used to...thats what happen when performance, efficiency, and government regualtions all meet.
  3. makes me want to get mine running again! i have an old traxxas nitrohawk....blast to run but gets hot after a bit...it won't go nearly as long as yours
  4. it says private video...and i don't have permission
  5. i had one similar...except you could see the rings around the cylinder coming out the side..i should have saved that one.
  6. the center cap was the whole reason i went with the rb over the rbr...the center cap on the front barely fits with the rb...don't think it'd work with the rbr...no center cap looks incomplete to me
  7. that joint was lead filled from the factory.
  8. i saw a newer dodge ram the other day....really sharp blue....kinda like an SI blue..or daytona blue...but slightly different. had me thinkin about paintin the z blue...i don't have much other than that....since the dodge sites all show the brand new rams
  9. thanks guys! i'm still workin on my fuel pumps...getting them wired...i'm running a low pressure for the surge tank and the high pressure for the injectors...i just wrapped up the full SS braided line front to rear..it'll be a bit before she's running, but i'll get a video. this is gonna be an occasional driver, take it to the track sorta car...i could imagine rush hour traffic gettin pretty smelly...i think cruisin it'll be ok....right now i'm running the hx35 turbo.....ultimately i will end up with something different....and prob soon....so my plan is to get it jetcoated once i have my final turbo configuration
  10. it's entertainment....not a documentary....if we were all well versed in ALL subjects....every movie out there would be painful to sit through.im talkin about a gearhead noticing a missing driveshaft to a botanist who'd notice incorrect vegetation for a given set. in the end, i was entertained...
  11. ive been workin on the z for a while...and i'm never quite satisfied....so im always changing stuff....this is what i've done recently...exhaust out the front fender behind the wheel....tell me what you guys think....ive read emwhyrohen's post and he said it's really loud...so thats expected, its turbo so i don't think it'll be as loud as a na motor....my z has always had 3" straight exhaust...so i don't think i'm lookin at anything drastic..another bonus is i won't be draging exhaust under the dif! i also welded pipe in the hole were the exaust runs through the inner fender so its reinforced. i got the idea from a custom truck accesory website..it's a popular one...i forget the name...but something similar was almost 300 dollars!
  12. got off the blackberry and on a computer...beautiful! completely jealous....i the only thing that gets me through not driving the z is watching your guys videos!
  13. i had an 81zxt identical to yours....beautiful car!
  14. i have a 73 240z...i'm playing around with the z32 rear calipers for my car...i've found a vented rotor that will work...it's the 240sx front rotor....or altima front rotor, prob gonna end up with the 240sx if this works....the stub axle diamter is to large to fit in the hat of the rotor....i was wondering how much i could safely have milled and not lose any integrity on the wheel stud...if any at all.
  15. is there a difference between the actual pump for the intank and inline pumps? the intank seem to be a lot less than the inline. i can see the accessories are dif for the dif mounting styles. but itll be AN fittings, and i the brackets to mount the pump.
  16. 26 now.....growing up we had a '71 xke.....i always got them confused when i was younger....when i started driving it was an easy choice. before i was 5 i had already been in 2 wrecks in Zs.....at the age of 26 i can tally up 3 total. in all 3 the cars were totaled...not like dented panel insurance totaled it...they were wheels missing, is that a z kinda totaled.
  17. i used to live there...great town
  18. my local autozone always has the metric brake fittings.
  19. it's prob darker than what you are lookin for....but very similar to the BMWs....i have an 08 legacy gt....diamond gray metallic. i'm debating going the same with my z. not my car but to give you an idea.
  20. nice gabe! same one i have...great for the z....is yours runnin yet?!
  21. my local ACE has a great selection for metric....even have most of those finner pitch bolts in the 10.9.
