  1. i didnt go through many dif brands of tires...stuck with BFG AT....those things are great all around...mud, wet, snow, wheeling, they performed all around.
  2. i drive a legacy gt....love that car...it has a more mature...ahem...better look...and goes just as fast if not faster.
  3. jim cook as already mentioned...i'm sportin them in the rear....no pics....what i really like is they don't require a front flare...the swoop of the rear with the edge looks to me to be an exagerated form of the stock lip on the front fender. i'm gonna get a pic...still a major work in progress still a major WIP...and surprisingly....the wheels don't hit the flares....i haven't driven it...but i have stood in the back of the hatch and jumped (230lbs)....i know the forces while driving will be greater...but still promising.
  4. now you are looking for the top piece right? the one with the 3 studs? i have some off my 240z, the rears are in great shape...if you paypal me some money for shipping i can get them sent out today. should all fit in a flat rate box that's like 8 - 10 bux PM me
  5. i've dealt with him...great guy, very honest...i wouldn't hesitate to send another set.
  6. i'm replacing the ball joints on my z...picked up the replacement part, and the nut is too large...it fits in the hole for the knuckle...but i can't get a socket on it...and the pitch is dif from the old ball joint. i need a 14x1.5 castle...that looks more like the one on the left. crappy picture i know...but i don't wanna hook up the digital camera it appears the left is a slotted nut...where the right is a castle nut....hmmm
  7. way too much...if my only option was a 1500 l28et...my car would be running a dif motor.
  8. seein the 65 cuda...how's that comin?
  9. i was bored with mine...so i chipped and peeled all the textured plastic off, then started fiberlgassing....i was worried about future cracking as well...but the fiberglass shouldn't fail for a really long time.
  10. just got back from the pinks all out in denver. it was a great time! some really nice cars, over 475 cars showed up for the event. cool thing was...the whole time isn't dedicated to pinks and running those cars. bandimere put on a show too...with some 200+ mph cars, some looked like funny cars, others like top fuel...running big and small blocks, jet cars trapping at almost 300mph!. there was also a dude who flew the entire length of the track from end to start with an 800hp jetpack on his back! about 40ft off the ground and moving around 80mph. they even had a special 8 for the cars that ran abnormally fast and trapped around 170ish, where they could win a $1000 and tool chest. they ran snowmobiles, and the junior drag cars all they way from brigg and straton engines to harley motors. they had those crazy motorcycles that go like 200mph in the 1/4....they had nitrous and turbo street bikes that were insane running low 9s. in the end they picked 32 cars instead of the normal 16 and knocked it down from there...but overall it was a blast. i was worried that it'd be a slow show since were are so high here...but man...some people brought out some badass rides. local radio station put together a challenger that was pulling very low 10s. best part was...i don't know if you have seen pics of banidmere..but the cars pull through an opening in the middle of the building...so it's not too far behind the tree. the jet cars had to release a bit to move foward, each time you could feel the blast...and watch the windows rattle on the building...i thought for sure some were gonna shatter.
  11. what' ive seen done...before your plates are welded in, you cut a hole in the floor and drop the cage down to weld up top...then install your plates and finishing welding...seems like a good way.
  12. iwould check asap...if your pulley is slipping...that means your crank is gonna be fubarred...as the key is likely torn from the crank, unless you are saying the pulley is seperating. aslo...a good way to check for the correct tension is to press the belt down in the middle betweem to pulleys.....it shouldn't give more than a 1/4"
  13. not what you want to hear...buti went disc when mine started to leak. what about just rebuilding your current ones?
  14. now for gm you are lookin at 0-90ohms right? same as my cell...i run autometer gauges
  15. looks good! i can't tell the difference between rb and rbr...i know the spoke is supposed to be not as curved...but in pics and lookin at my rb...they look the same.
  16. i'm putting 300zx calipers on the back of the z....and they ones i have are really black and dirty wtih years of dust and dirt...soap and a wire brush took care of some of it, but it's really difficult to get in the corners...but i was just wondering if you guys use any products that you can spray and it will clean the caliper so it's ready for paint.
  17. they are very similar to some i tossed a couple years back...center caps had some fance lookin A in the middle.
  18. i went with grould control coilovers and mr2 front struts...sectioned the strut tubes, and also have TTT (technotoytuning.com) camber plates up top. all together it's about a grand. ~400 for kit, ~200 for mr2 struts, ~400 for front and rear camber plates....but i can weld. i can now drop the car as low as i want...get the floor supports a couple inches off the ground literally. it sits pretty low.
  19. thanks guys! yeah...the 235 is a bet stretched...unfortunately i don't have any pics or measurements with stock suspension...i have had the GC coilovers installed before i got the wheels. these are the RB wheels. i think a 245/40 would be perfect...i can drop this combo pretty low...and it still tucks inside that front fender. with an inch or so to spare. the rear is flared, kinda hard to tell in the pics...i hate showin my z in that condition...but wanted to share some pics! i'll definately have some better ones as it starts comin together more.
  20. they make seivel adapters...sears has them...that way you have swivel for any socket you own.
  21. i'm looking for 2 good pumps..one low pressure high flow for the surge tank, and another high flow high pressure (~something similar to the walbro 255lph) from tank to fuel rail. i see all the ones through summit...and most fit my needs...but was wondering if anyone had any advise to give on 2 good fuel pump. the other criteria is i need to be able to hook them up via AN fittings. i can reduce them down if needed...
  22. i drilled new holes down 15/16" and 4.5" apart....then cut that top hole off, used the calipers in the auction...and have z31 rotors...i did have 240sx calipers before. i did have to space out the calipers...that's the mod above.
