  1. I ordered the MSA /Precision complete kit at the end of Dec. last year and I think they are on to the "new stock" now, everything fit well including the door seals however, the door seals still pushed the door out too far for my liking so I also went back to my Kia seals and am very happy with them. The Precision rear hatch seal was just a smidge smaller than I'd like but was really no trouble to install and seals very well, did the paper test all the way around with good results. It's too bad they couldn't perfect those door seals but I guess they really don't sell that many of them so not worth their time.
  2. You'll also have to think about front to back weight ratio, a very heavy front weighted car doesn't handle as well as a something more balanced, also with that kind of power you will have to add some reinforcing and stiffening to the chassis to keep from twisting that poor old light weight frame. As said above, you can shoehorn in practically anything but thinking of the car as a whole finished unit, as a package, will help you end up with a car that is versatile, fun to drive and powerful.
  3. Sorry, I forgot to put the the link in, http://www.ontariozcar.com/ozc/forum/forums/buy-sell No, no such luck.
  4. You should post your question on the guys there will know the local prices in our area or might be able to offer you other options. I bought my R200 3.9 about 5 yrs ago for $350
  5. I made it and completely forgot to take any pics.
  6. I have never bought from this guy but his reputation is mud locally, no one in the local Z club will go near the guy for the same reasons theczechome stated.
  7. The splitter looking lip attaches to the bottom of the air dam and extends back to the frame in front of the radiator, the real job it's doing is keeping the flexible urethane air dam from flexing. Without the lip I put on it there is no rigidity.
  8. Finally got it back from the paint shop where the wet sanding and buffing was being done, there is still a few thing to do on it but needed to get it in some kind of shape for the annual Zfest show, here is what I'm taking,
  9. On #1, it seems everyone has good memories of these cars, I've owned lots of old cars but none of them have received the kind of praise and attention that the Z does.
  10. Good eye! Yes it is, I just love it.
  11. Ryan, don't you dare enter your car in the modified class, I don't need the competition Just got it out of the paint booth...again.
  12. Vinegar and Hydrogen peroxide is the combo that is used for skunk, might work on pee.
  13. I had multiple generations of the little buggars living in my Z, you could smell from 10ft away, I had the shell of the car acid dipped, installed a restored dash from another Z, stripped all the paint off of the heater box and re painted and cleaned everything with Lye based soap. Now that the car is completely restored when I turn on the heater/blower there is still the faint wiff of mouse pee, it's in the plastic of the vents. Powerful stuff.
  14. Black plum, great colour. Any good quality paint manufacturer will have paint chip books, I'm sure they are all online now.
  15. Eastwoods X Mat, doesn't smell, doesn't peel off on hot days, at least if you applied it properly, less than a 1/3 of the price.
  16. Each mat is about 3 lbs and I needed 17 mats to cover everything.
  17. I bought my SpeedHut gauges over a year ago (somehow I missed this thread) and I just got around to installing them and found the oil pressure sensor not working, I contacted SpeedHut to talk about the wiring and order another sensor knowing that the warranty had lapsed, William, who was helping me sent me another free of charge! I thought that was pretty damn decent of them. Thank you guys, that is out standing customer service.
  18. Put a couple of hundred price tag on it and see what happens.
  19. Damn, that's nice fabrication. I guess you have done a bit of this before?
  20. James, yes one in the same, he's very talented, 2nd nature to him. I'm heading down to the shop next week for the final 'on the highway' tuning. I have to do another vid but having so much fun just driving it. Here she is out in the sun under her own power, first time on the road in about 20 yrs. I got the rest of the interior in, Matt tuned it from idle to about 3200 rpm so I'm trying to be a good boy until next week when he can finish the job. Learned a big lesson today, when you change out the wheel studs for new ones you MUST re torque the nuts after a couple of miles, luckily I remembered before any damage could happen, every nut needed tightening Got the ITB's balanced, after balancing the first 4 I put 1 & 2 on 5 & 6 and matched them up to 3 & 4
  21. "Its a front sump.... I will need to either research how to make a poor mans dry sump or move the steering rack?" Or extend the oil pick up tube to a more convenient location and weld the sump on to mate up with it, I just did some very similar on my Z. Sounds like a very interesting engine and a great project.
  22. Thanks Derek, as much as I would love to get my hands on one of your heads, this was the cheaper, faster way to get something similar Thanks, I just got the ECU tuned today and it has settled down and is sounding better, we'll see what it is like on the highway. Here is the link, http://technostrip.com/
  23. https://youtu.be/dR8bHf6C-Qc So I got the engine going It is still not responding to the gas pedal just sort of doing its own thing. I have Megasquirt Matt coming on Monday to tame it and finally get it out on the road and start sorting out the bugs.
  24. Whitehead said to put a smear of Permetex Black Ultra on both sides of the HG, now I was taught to never ever use anything on a HG but this was the first all steel one I had used so you will find sealant on both sides, Scotchbrite should take it off.
  25. Ryan, one of the only reasons I could justify paying so much for that 1.5mm Kameari head gasket was that it is steel and I was assured that it can be re used multiple times with no sealing problems. Pop the head off and measure it otherwise it's just guessing. I'm the fellow Z club member who sold Ryan the engine, I still regret it.
