  4. IVE BEEN VERY BUSY: Well, Ive been gone a while, but my Z has not been forgotten! Lets see, what have I done to the car in my absence... The automatic to manual conversion comes to mind, I did the swap in a kragen parking lot!!! I now get employee discount there Overall it went pretty smooth and the car is so much more fun to drive, also has a short shifter on there. Hmmm, what else... oh, I drove it off the side of a mountain... I will get pics of that asap, didnt rev match around a corner and lost it... replaced both fenders, hood, got an airdam, which also led me to the PAINT!, sure its only rattle can but it looks ten times better then what it did I got sooo lucky with the crash, it was pretty bad but the damage was mostly body, I managed to bend.warp the steering wheel with my hands upon impact but I didnt break a bone in my body. Another thing Ive done recently but do not have any pics of yet is the new carpet kit, thats right, all new carpet, the interior looks sooo clean now, I love it, again, I will try to get pics up soon. And last but not least, and also picturless, is the turbo swap, I decided not to turbo my NA engine because I got my hands on a f54/n47 combo with turbo pistons, boosted that and dropped it in my Z. I desperetly need a Turbo ECU/wiring harness not make it run as good as it should.
  5. ENGINE: f54 block with stock turbo pistons, n42 head with NA cam. ARP hardware. TURBO: T3 at 7psi with supra MKIII intercooler, boost at 2500rpms FUEL: zxt 270cc injectors ELECTRONICS: :( stock NA ECU with "tuned" NA afm EXHAUST: 3inch DP with 2.5inch exhaust HP: Lower then a stock NA l28!, or so it feels... NOTE TO ALL: I just finished putting this together, its one of the many things Ive been doing to my Z while Ive been away... It pretty much runs like crap and I need MS, or at least a turbo ECU/wiring harness. Got one for sale? 707-252-6070, please let me know!

  7. :evil::evil:and insurance cant do anything for me because I only have liability, the police cant do anything for me because I didnt see it happen and I dont know where I was parked when it happend... I am soooo angry right now, steaming. any bay area guys have a good fender, I have lots of parts I could trade, the fender on this side of my 76 is no good. I know it isnt unfixable, but I hate to see my car get worse, after all the time and then somthing like his happens, and to my passion non the less!

  12. I reverse supercharger? I could actualy see that working, if a belt driven fan can force air into an engine it should be able to pull it out... but would it be enough of an WHP improvment to be worth it?
  13. I dont no if that would prevent all fumes but it would prevent your heater and AC from changing the temp properly... On a side not could you please PM me the price of those vents? I think they look way cool!
  14. no no you mis understood, the fan is moving because of the air flow when the car is moving, thats why there is the bigger section the goes beyond the exhaust pipe, so when you drive the air rushing past causes it to spin. so when your going 80mph the fan is being spun by 80mph winds, and it is connected to the fan IN the exhaust pipe so that to would be spining as if it were in 80mph winds, only because that part isnt it would be sucking air out... Its not being spun by exhaust gasses, it is being spun be the air rushing past it do to speed of the car

A fan the shape of a flashlight... the thinner blades of the fan (the handle of the flashlight) go in the end of the exhaust pipe, the bulb section of the flashlight (still connected to the smaller blades) would stick out the back, and would be a larger blade the the exhaust piping... so as you are driving long the air rushing by is used to spin the blades at the end of the pipe, in turn spinning the blades in the pipe, pulling the exhaust out, that faster you go the harder it pulls. What do you guys think? did I strike a gold mine or make myself look dumb? It would be a restriction when stopped but who cares?
  16. Isn't this how all of us Z owners are? Everyone says it can't be done, it's not worth it, it's not worth anything. Yet we throw it all back at them "I don't care, I want to do it" I had to explain that to my mom tonight. I told her that I was going to pull it out of the shop and rebuild the engine. She freaked out saying how once it's finally running I'll have put over 3000 dollars into it including the cost of the car, and that I should've used the money i've been using on my Z to buy a half decent car that doesn't need work. I told her, "It's worth it. Once it's fixed it'll be worth it all. You'll see" The writer did a great job capturing the spirit of the Z owner. Thanks for he new sig... (see below)
  17. its only been 2 hours, and your questions are very broad, how is one supposed to know if it was a good deal without seeing the car, the way it runs, the interior. welcome btw
