I installed vintage air in my 280 and it keeps the car cold. It does require some fitting and dash In and out of the car a few times and fabricating brackets. My friend just ordered one from a seller on ebay in texas that makes a kit specifically for the Z. He hasn't installed it yet, but the pieces look good. I believe the only thing on that kit you have to figure out for yourself is mounting the controls while on the vintage air you have to figure it all out
Yep, next thing they will only come out from under the covers to go be parked in a parking lot and feather dusted by dbags wearing datsun shoes with matching datsun shirts and jackets. These were meant to be drivers cars, hence the reliability. Get one of those delicate cars like an etype and lock it away. Let the Z be free!
I got my strut bar in before my next track event happens. Hope this adds a little more stiffness. If not, it sure is a good looking piece. How much if any preload should be put on these things?
I got mine at lowes, but they were like these, with the locking snap hooks on the end for about the same price as harbor freight.

I use short axle straps through the wheels with as short ratcheting straps as I could get, because I run out of space quickly also. I don't have a choice but to crisscross because its too short if i tried to go straight.
This place shows 240 ones on their website, but not sure how old this site is.
