  1. Â Without moderation, the internet, or rather, forums, become as useful a form of communication as the inner walls of a public bathroom stall. Â "If you sprinkle when you tinkle..." you get the idea.Â
  2. Â Thanks, I was on the fence about using the Weber starter circuits, but I am so glad I did. Â Are you using yours? I opened up the fuse box cover, tapped on the fuses, and the corner marker and dash lights began to work. Â Time to break out the, Phillips screw driver, the crimps and dielectric grease.
  3. Â I just wanted to show that triple Webers DO work. Even in the cold weather. Â The starting circuit really helps. Sorry for the darkness...no lights in the shed...yet.
  4. I had a guy come up to me yesterday and say: "How much are those worth? Â I have a 240Z like new on jack stands with 60k miles on it in one of my garages. I think its a 77 or 78 and has twin carbs, and I want to sell it." Â I gave him the NYZCC club card and told him to post pics for me.Â
  5. Raise your hands. Â How many people remember this page from the JCR catalog?
  6.  The Webers will clean right up.  You may need a gasket kit for them.  Open, disassemble, clean, reassemble, turn the key.  Oh yeah and read about them...they are not as viscous as their reputation.  Overall, you have a decent platform to start with.  You will be pleasantly surprised at how well it will clean up with elbow grease.  Love the hubcaps!  The only thing that I would be worried about is the rust on the door sill.  Are those rust holes on the door sill?  How bad is the inside of the rocker?Â
  7. Well, if you are selling, or ever thinking of selling your left hand, you might get more interested takers if the hand has been published..even if you published your own left hand in your own magazine..with your left hand. Â
  8. Mull is still at it I THINK...... He posted in his thread over here on 9/20/10. Â Too bad I have no idea what he wrote. http://www.zatzy.com/projekt/190127-mull-1971-datsun-240z-projekt-hugo-235.html
  9. I have yet to see a post saying their OBX failed, unless the unit was assembled improperly. Â HP is across the board. Â I would say whatever the R200 can handle, the OBX can handle too.
  10. LOL. Â Well then how come I am out a P90A head, a hydraulic to solid lifter conversion kit, a Z32 trans converted for S30, oh yeah, and an FG hood? Â J/K I know I can count on you guys if I need some spare parts removed from my garage, and I am guilty of raiding Joe's and Clive's stash as well. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
  11. Â Â Bump...a young woman in her 50's approached me at a gas station today and said....well you know. Â She had a Z until she wrecked it in a head on collision a long, long, time ago. Â She said she was thankful that the Z had that long nose. Â She said it always had an electrical short and it took two people to start it, one inside, and one under the hood with a screwdriver. Â
  12. People I know who have had their cars in rags, have been discovered through car shows.
  13. They would be cooler (no pun) if they fed the centrally located throttle body on the LSx motor ala Firebird.
  14. Generally speaking, if you live in an area where it's cold enough that mice want to live inside your heater box, then you probably want your heater box as well.Â
  15. I would be even more surprised if they were all exactly the same.
  16. Sorry to see it leave your interest...unless someone has hacked your account and posted this.
  17. That engine wont fit, will make the car handle like azz, will break the diff, and twist the chassis. Â What were you thinking! Â Â Â J/K of course. Â Very nice...more pics, bigger the better.Â
  18. Yeah then it's either FOD, old plastic, or the motor shifted...not much else. Â It looks to be about the right distance from the rad.
  19. Too many variables to know how to wire your setup here. Â Your best bet is to find a wiring scheme that suits your particular install. http://www.google.com/images?client=opera&rls=en&q=megasquirt+wiring+diagram&oe=utf-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=mq2xTPe9A8L98Abuio2iCQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCAQsAQwAA
  20. Â Â Judging from your photo....your FUEL? or Coolant? line is too close to the fan, and is unsupported. Â That could have struck the back of the blades and weakened them, which led to mass destruction. Â Â
  21. Ok all you Weber fearing Z drivers...I haven't had to touch these DCOE's all Summer long.  I set it, and forget it!  In all fairness, I only put about 2000 miles on it this Summer.  Here is a 20 minute drive around the block today.  Yes we have BIG blocks around here.  Pure music those Webers are.  My favorite road is around 7:20 in the video. Crank it up! Yes, eventually I found a god fearing Camry driver doing half the speed limit. http://www.streetfire.net/video/a-long-scenic-drive-in-a-240z-in-the-fall-2010_2070446.htm
