  1. Try looking at JIS spec bolts, www.McMaster.com lists them as 12mm head
  2. That's sweet, motor really torques to one side under load, gotta be a blast to run around in.
  3. Thanks for the insight Cary. I was thinking if the SBC and LS1 housings were fitting I should only have to Clarence for the stater a little.
  4. Looking great on all of it Andy! Keep it coming, really enjoy seeing your work.
  5. Olli- The throttle bodies are some Bing units from a BMW 1100RT motorcycle. Not sure if they will get used at this point however, really wanting to go supercharged. Project is pretty slow moving at the moment however do to weather and funds.
  6. I'm working on a Nissan VK56 swap in my '71 and have recently been leaning towards running a 4 speed ST10/Muncie/Gforce style transmission. Intended use of the car is for weekend rod runs, light to light racing and car shows, not really cruising it or autocross. The attraction to the reverse mount is it would move the starter out of the valley and open up more room for an intercooler (read Eaton m122/tvs2300/Whipple). I haven't been able to find any good dimensions on the bellhousings out there or pictures of one installed on an s30. Is anyone running one in their car? I know the 7.25 clutches will be harsh and I plan to contact Quarter Masters about options but would like to figure out if the bellhousing will even fit before bothering MFGs.
  7. Wow, that is insanely wide. Good luck with it and can't wait to see the end result
  8. Older than '06 watch out on the manual transmission models. Lots of transmission revisions up until the 06 model years to the synchros for premature wear and failure.
  9. Bell crank would be the proper term, some might call it a throttle cam. If you want stock you might try ztherapy and putting up a wanted post on the classifieds. Jenvy or efi hardware might have a solution that works for you as well.
  10. Thank you, they've got some great looking products.
  11. Those are gorgeous heater bulk head fittings, care to share where you found them?
  12. Sounds to me like a good question to pose in the fabrication section with some pictures of the damage, might get a few more eyes on your problem and generate some good discussion over there.
  13. Take a look here http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/123148-my-turbo-lsx-z31-builld/
  14. I don't have an LS but check out LS1tech.com; I copy and pasted your thread title there and came up with all kinds of threads on the differences required to run the LS1 vs LS6 vs stock truck manifold and the associated parts to adapt to either one. Here's a link to one post that seemed the shorts answer on requirements: http://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/1012420-swapping-ls1-intake-lm7-worth.html
  15. Looks stout, what wall thickness tubing are you using?
  16. Any links to this alternate Ford IRS mount? Interested to see the difference/design idea
  17. At least they'll hear that one though! Suspension parts and brakes and things usually go unnoticed, but exhaust gives everyone the tingles when it's done right.
  18. Interesting house design, looking forward to hearing more on that as well as the Datsun.
  19. Roll bar turned out nice! Hoop looks like it follows the interior lines pretty well. Good luck with the upholstery
