  1. HP limited dyno inspections. Pay attention my fellow Americans...
  2. WOW, amazing work. Those parts are stunning.
  3. That is pretty trick. Look at all that room up front. So much room for activities! Begs for a turbo.
  4. Perhaps you can epoxy resin a bit of a build-up in the location you want a nozzle, sand it flat, then use one of the threaded fogger nozzle mounts: http://www.amazon.com/NOS-17283NOS-Brass-Nozzle-Mounting/dp/B000COXFVU
  5. You may want to look into direct port nozzles, you can add fuel and nitrous to an existing injector bung. This would probable be more reliable than epoxy on relatively thin plastic. http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/direct-port-nitrous-efi/ http://nitrousdirect.com/wetnitrouskits.html Good luck with your project.
  6. I have a few questions: Will the brackets you are selling be steel or AL? Raw, coated, plated, anodized? What is your estimated timeline after you reach 10 buyers? If, for some reason, 10 buyers can not be had I assume there will be a refund for those who put money in, correct? Also, my respect and appreciation for making something happen for your fellow Z-car enthusiasts. Nice work bro.
  7. Thank you, I was seriously considering going this route. Good to know.
  8. Stumbled across these today: http://simtecmotorsports.com/product/datsun-240z-280z-s30-chassis-coil-over-suspension-upgrade/ Any one used them? Are they junky?
  9. Thanks for all the input guys. I think I need to take some measurements with my seat setup and maybe order a custom seatbelt from seatbelt planet. There is just not much to attach the shoulder belt to. I can see why the MSA belts are designed the way they are. Malibud check out this amazon link. I bet, with a little plastic trimming, you can find a solution to the falling belt. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=seat+belt+sleeve&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=55158369643&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15664480557155283351&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_2yexsr4y5_b
  10. Hey that looks pretty good. I am not familiar with the Ford irs, what portion uses that joint? Is it likely to stand up to the tension and compressor seen in this application? You could always cut your tc bucket and move it back an inch.
  11. There you go. Hard block it, run it. relatively cheap and easy.
  12. There is another thread on the forum where someone cut off the collector and rotated it to clear a 4L80E. Can't remember exactly where but its on here somewhere.
  13. I am wrapping up fitting a pair of 2004 WRX seats into my Z and looking into my seat belt options. I am strongly considering the MSA retractable seat belts: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/40-7490 However, searching on google, I seem to find quite a few people saying they hated them. But no one saying specifically why. So, if there are any members here who can share their experiences, or perhaps a photo or two, that would be immensely helpful. Thank you, Mike
  14. Hardbock it!.... Kidding, just kidding. Either run it, or don't.
  15. That is an awesome engine swap. You will definitely hit some road blocks, you are designing (dare i say engineering) and fabricating something that has not been done before. There are no off the shelf parts. But that is what makes it cool. I would suggest fabbing something like this: https://liquidironindustries.com/GM-LS-Motor-Mounts.html Poly performance sells the urethane bushings: http://www.polyperformance.com/TRUCK-BUGGY/Fabrication-Parts/Bushing-Bearing-Kits
  16. Don't want to step on anyone's toes, however, I am available to pitch in for drafting and potentially 3D printing a prototype. Additionally if there are a lot of people interested in the swap that are having a hard time getting rotors modified, it might be worth looking into a custom rotor option group buy. Maybe: https://www.adamsrotors.com/
  17. Now that sounds bad ass. I would also encourage you to get the JTR book or similar, and read up on the swap. It may not be as equipment intensive as you think.
  18. I am somewhat interested in this swap as well. Are you having brackets made, or are they still available somewhere? I may have a local resource to machine the rotors in small quantity.
  19. Sweet. I may be interested as well.

    Seat Swap

I am in the midst of installing 2004 WRX seats, they look awesome, feel awesome. Getting the fitted where I want them is a royal PITA. The car is small, I am not.
  21. Thanks for the inspiration. I actually picked up a set of 04' WRX seats. They are actually working out pretty well. I decided I want to retain the factory height and tilt adjustment but move the sliders inboard, that is complicating things a bit, but I think I will have the brackets built in the next week or two.
  22. The flanges do look thick enough to support this. It would seem like a fairly easy fix with a mill and a fly cutter.
  23. Sigh. Now now, I just missed them on my phone. I really like this idea, I think I may do something similar. What are you using for vapor control?
  24. How does the wheel feel with it installed? Looks clean.
