Any good diff shops in your area? I've used and referred people to SF Differential, if you can't find a local place. They've done everything from street to race stuff. John, the owner, is an old-school dude and has been around for a long time.

If your AFR stays in the 11s, it's not a fuel problem.

Not a typo, only the US got the 280Z (as far as I'm aware). In the rest of the world, the 260Z was sold until 1978. Looks like a cool project! -

Hello Northwest Z-ers! My wife and I are heading out tomorrow for a week-long road trip from SF to Seattle. We'll be in Portland on Monday and in Seattle Tuesday-Friday. I'd run the P90 and be done with it. You'll be at stock NA 280ZX compression with the flat-tops. Run the head stock and use it as a backup once you put the turbo motor in. This is the simplest and quickest path to enjoyment. Plus, the P90 has square exhaust ports which will match your header. It may not be a monster but it'll be a fun, torque-happy motor.

I love it! I actually got an email from the kid that I bought the car from, when I was selling it. The shop teacher saw the ad and he forwarded his teacher's email on to me. It's so interesting to get to know the history of these old cars. Love the work you've done to it, keep it up!
