I chose to go with some Forged Volk Te37V in (17"x 9"-10 & 17 x 10" -20) and (245/40/17" & 275/40/17" BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2). Some other 17"- 5 lug wheels I had also been considering for my build consisted of SSR - Professor SP1R, Boze Forged - Shifter or Velocity, CCW - Classic mesh, Barramundi Design Forged - Payara, Bester or Jellynose. I also considered finding some 17" Work VS-XX or VS-KF and having them re-barreled to fit my needs as well as some Watanabe RS8's. As my build has been progressing and power levels rose, I bought new rear quarter panels from Ztrix.com (YZ option) that accommodate a 12" rear wheel and wider than my already applied (Subtle Z option). As much as I love my new Volk TE37 V's with the 275's I may be looking at changing the wheel selection to accommodate a rear 11- 12" and 315's to fill out the new intended flares. I just want to get as much traction to the ground as I can. A few photos I have found along the way showing the wheel styles.

Watanabe now offers a two piece 17" wheel (RS8) in both 4 and 5 lug options, but in different offsets. There are a few companies, (http://love20bee.com/), (http://wheelflip.com/) that are re- barreling these to fit whatever your needs are. Tire options and a classic banana spoke style are now an option.....

CXRacing vs Tech2motorsports engine mounts
Nelsonian replied to Casper0878's topic in Toyota L6 Forum
I only have these more recent pics of the kit as I touched up the paint when I was repainting my gas tank. I sold off the R154 trans and accompanying parts to it from the kit as I am now using a new CD009 6 spd. Hope that helps some. Correction: I still have the R154 trans mount from the kit as the trans was sold to someone with a 240sx who did not need it. -
So was it deemed that there were complications with or a bad batch of stub axles that went out? Was Joe currently in the process of making new ones?
-
I bought a 2JZ from JDM Engine Pro in La Habra and it was in great shape. Upon request they removed the unwanted automatic trans and had the engine ready for me to help load into my truck. I think it was Chris that I dealt with there.

I enjoyed viewing your build, nice car! Were you spinning tires through that Quarter mile pass?

I bought the standard AZC Wilwood kit from the silver Vildini shop car 240Z. They only have less than 4k miles on them. I also bought member Woza custom rear parking brake brackets and also have member Tim O version. Unfortunately my car is in pieces waiting for one day to be finished. I have heard nothing but positive comments on the azc kit though.

I can't tell you how many times I have watched your Youtube videos and had a smile from ear to ear with the sound of your car ZRedBaron.... Amazing!!!
-
Ouch, that is a premium for sure. I am happy to keep my AZC Wilwoods and custom rear parking brake setup...

I went searching for some info also and found it in the blog section of their site. http://www.zcarblog.com/

I have a set of unused rear smooth style ZG flares that I bought from (MSA) Motor Sport Auto and never ended up using them or plan on using them as I went a completely different route altogether. These are ultimately intended for bonding onto the stock rear quarter panels, but I imagine could be adhered instead for a type of temporary hold. The pictures included showing them taped on my car are actually resting on an existing wide body rear quarter panel from Ztrix.com, ( "Subtle Z" ) which are 1.5" width over stock.

TrackZpeeds CXRacing LS1 T56 240z

Well done and love the commentating in the background.... -
You may want to reach out to Austin of Hoke Performance as if I recall had coated many parts of his L28et before he had the damage occur with that engine and finally went VQ instead. Not implying that the coating had anything to do with it, but as I recall that was how that all unfolded in sequence.

I forgot to mention I also had the trim ring re chromed and have some new old stock oem fuel line as well.

I have my stock '73 tank out and it has been hot tanked a long while ago as I was going to do custom work cutting and welding on it. It sat foir a long while in storage and had a light layer of rust in it until I bought a bunch of Evaporust and the largest Rubbermade storage container that it would fit in. I plugged all the lines and holes and continuously turned and let it sit for over two weeks, (lot of re-taping effort spent on getting all sides). I got the inside of the tank to shine like new, but instead of coating it with any oil substance I let it dry and was supposed to sell it locally , but the guy flaked out. It now has the thinnest layer of flash rust in it, but another soak of the Evaporust will take it right back off. I stripped the paint off down to bare metal then primered, then painted an amateur job with quality rattle cans. I also have a new fuel filler neck and sending unit from MSA that I am not using as I will be installing a fuel cell.

Does Rota not make a 16x8 or 16x9 RKR?
Nelsonian replied to luke87gt's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I would add in with that Panasport as well, however they only offer the 1pc cast in 16x7". -
One last vid of that 20B swapped S30......

I think both kit options offer a simple bolt on option with dzus fasteners or traditional bolts. For me I am trying my hardest to make it as visually smooth and slippery a surface as I can by removing door handles, locks, C pillar vent hole and logo trim and blending the front head light buckets with the fenders and lastly the rear three piece spoiler into the rear quarter panel. The only exception of trimming and removing would be retaining the rain gutters for potentially utilizing surf board racks in-case my intended fuel cell and door cover take up too much of the rear cargo area. I want it to look as if it could have come from the factory very streamlined that way. Neither option is cheap and both will require some finessing but both will allow for wider wheels, grip and some individuality of your car. Good luck either way and let us know what option you end up choosing.
