  1. Check craigslist or http://www.car-part.com for used engines. Your rear diff won't explode with that kinda torque. Just run it. Get better shocks and springs though. Buy the Futo fab CV axle kit if you're worried about the stock axles.
  2. How do you know the fuel is becoming too hot?
  3. I've noticed the same issue, and I'm not sure why it's happening.
  4. It sounds like you need better insulation, not a different car.
  5. Is "get both" an option? An S30, especially a modified one, doesn't seem like the best daily driver. But for a weekend car, which car are you going to look forward to driving more?
  6. How much of that did you use? Did you cover the whole car? (floor, roof, doors, firewall, etc)
  7. You're better off swapping that drivetrain in a Karman Ghia or some sort of other VW product. There are actual kits out there for those with a decent amount of info on what to do. https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/d/1969-karmann-ghia-huge-price/6229001736.html That car could REALLY use that WRX drivetrain.
  8. Is there any noticable glue/rubbery smell from it? That Noico stuff is definitely the cheapest by far, I'm just wondering what the drawbacks are.
  9. For 7 to 8k you're gonna get a non-running/barely running unrestored project. The best you can hope for is someone trying to offload a 95% complete project like this guy https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/cto/d/1973-datsun-240z/6240225676.html Also, with that budget, you're gonna have to factor in a plane ticket over to the West coast and fuel for the drive back. "Rust free" and "S30" don't exactly exist on the east coast.
  10. With all the carbon on your car, you should Vinyl wrap the rest of your car to look the same. If you need any other bad ideas, I'll be here all night
  11. I think there's one guy on here that knows of his whereabouts. Send a message to markrolston@mac.com. He'll probably know.
  12. I might be confusing a very important thing here, but how is this different than just buying two sets of Triumph Daytona 955i throttle bodies? http://www.ebay.com/itm/02-06-Triumph-Daytona-955I-throttle-Bodies-w-Injector-Rail-Fuel-Lines-/372003554885?hash=item569d23c645:g:VZQAAOSw7GRZCkiG&vxp=mtr You still need to make an adaptor plate, you still need the software to run the injectors. Again, I'm probably missing something very important here, but it seems like you'd be spending $1000 extra for not much.
  13. if hes still lurking around, send a message to RTz.
  14. Your limiting factor is probably gonna be the height of the engine. The S30 engine bay is very long and quite wide. A V12 can fit in the engine bay. But, it's not extremely tall. You may have to do a custom hood depending on how tall the block is. This picture might help if you're looking for a general idea of how big of a box you can fit in the engine bay. Of course you might have issues with steering and brake master cylinder interference, but that you probably won't know for sure until you put the engine in there, or put a mock up of it in there.
  15. Without a muffler, your car will be very very loud. Going down half an inch in pipe size won't fix that. Get the muffler for your 3".
  16. Did you make it custom or purchase it from some where?
  17. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/126999-dz-start-push-button-ignition-kits-fs-again/ Because buttons are cool.
  18. What did you put on the front lip? That looks great btw!
  19. Beater truck that you take the insurance off of when you're not using it!
  20. Another obstacle you'll have to face is funds. Most teenagers don't have the thousands of dollars that an undertaking like this will cost. Just getting the engine in, with the drivetrain in place will be a daunting task as is, but then you say you also want to make 500whp out of it... It's not just plugging the ECU into a computer and cranking the boost up with a new turbo, there's a lot of work that goes into doing that. And that work also costs a lot of money. If you can get this project done for under 20k, I'd be impressed, or worried that you cut corners where you shouldn't have.
  21. How far ahead is the centerline of the diff from the centerline of the hub?
  22. Step 1: Remove front fender Step 2: Attach flare to the hood Step 3:... Step 4: PROFIT!
  23. Cummins 6.7 ISB dimensions https://www.sbmar.com/engine-info/cummins-qsb6-7-specifications/ 240z engine bay dimensions http://www.classiczcars.com/uploads/monthly_11_2009/post-9360-14150809107603.jpg Using those links you should find your answer.
  24. Get new interior. Animal pee is nearly impossible to 100% get rid of.
